How the doors open? A remember that in Sims 2 it opened sidewards.

Ive always been disappointed that you couldnt be a full time gear head in the Sims, click on an old car in your huge garage with marble floors and restore it, that would be his job, spend all his remaining money on Snap on tool chests. Spend 12hrs in the garage. Come back in the house all dirty and shower for like 2hrs, surely someone has done a mod like that.

There is something like a hot rod expansion pack for sims 3 that can make you a gear head

According to my wife, it's a bundle pack that just contains stuff. It's not an actual expansion pack. Sims 2 did have an expansion pack where you could restore old cars. It is one feature I wish would have made it in the 3rd one.
