This is a thread I decided to start, based on a suggestion from another user over in the spoiler/wing thread, as we have been going on about updated headlight looks for the D. BUT this thread is more of a place for ideas we all come up with and can present here - whether that's something Photoshopped, sketched out, or something you did or would like to do to update the look of a D or your D to keep the spirit of JZD alive and how the car might look today if he were still around and the Delorean was being made today, versus the 1980's.

So one I have is this - updated headlights with the daylight running lights similar to BMW's, Audi's and Cadillacs. These were taken from a Chevy Silverado and then inverted.

Here is my favorite DeLorean that has the HID Halo 4x6 square lights.

Are there same style 4x6 square lights that have a center circle instead of the outline like in this video?

I just don't like the clear plastic lens and all it's inside molding on any car these days. My wifes 2003 Impala has that lens smoked gray and that looks pretty good.

Wow, if someone had described those to me I would have thought for sure that I'd hate them; but I think they look awesome! Are they custom or is that something you can buy off the shelf?

My Dream Mods...

1. Body Control Module/Power Distribution Module: Seen in modern cars today, these modules essentially control all the relays and power features in the vehicle. Everything ranging from push start button, smart key, tire pressure sensor, wipers, lights, locks, etc.

2. Modern ECM and Fuel Injection system upgrade: It's a V-6 with 138HP stock, granted I don't work in Powertrain, but I would hope it would be possible to up the power significantly with using modern technology.

3. Updated Meter: Granted if 1 and 2 were to happen, then this would probably follow as you would most likely be running CAN in the vehicle with the additional modules. Seeing some of the future meters at some suppliers, there is a LOT of neat stuff that could be done.

4. Redone Harnesses: Increase Reliability really.

Essentially my dream mod for my delorean is to modernize it and improve performance and reliability as much as possible. The Stainless steel panels and fiberglass body is great to prolong the life of the vehicle, however the electrical system is old and not lasting like the rest of the vehicle. Working at Nissan and seeing how a lot of this stuff is made and performs has really gotten me excited and wishing for stuff like this.

Wonder if DMCH has or will offer an upgraded harness, as essentially on their "new" Deloreans, with the updated interior and all, an upgraded harness would be only logical.

Gas turbine engine - the 1963 Chrysler version that was pretty quiet, reliable, and 140 degree exhaust thanks to the heat exchangers.

If by meter, you mean instrument cluster, I'm working on this one. Expect to see something later this year...
