I am looking for photos of DeLoreans with rear deck spoilers installed.
Would you please help post photos on this thread?

Here is what I have found so far:

I actually kind of like the below one that is on the "DeLotus". Does anyone know what this spoiler is from?

Man I love the lip spoiler on then lotus car. I would love to find one. I only wish it attached to the spoiler instead of the fascia.

I can't believe I never noticed that lip spoiler before. I would seriously consider getting one of those with a wide side stripe... mmm.

Although I'm also not a fan of attaching it to the rear fascia, at least it won't make the sunshade too heavy to lift. I'm sure some of those 'park bench' spoilers weigh a ton.

I've collected a few of my own in the last couple of years ....

Anyone has the VIN's on these? Or the owners? Or if they still exist at all ...

Here are more shots of my car w/spoiler. It's a love it or hate it kind of modification, but right now I'm loving the new sporty look it gives my car with the wheels and side stripe. To each their own!

Rear spoilers on a DeLorean always make me chuckle. Like a car with a 35f-65r weight distribution needs help keeping its rear end planted. Besides at the speeds one normally travels on our roadways the only effect that rear spoiler would have is to increase drag, and possibly hinder fuel economy.

...they certainly don't look out of place though.

Patric your spoiler looks quite nice.
Even if I am not a general spoiler fan for the D, I think I would like yours. What make is it?

Spoilers do not only serve rear down force but also stability. I find the front wheel drive cars with rear spoilers a bit of a joke.

Thanks, Alex! It is actually a 3rd generation Firebird/Trans-Am spoiler from the 1980's. The styling really matches well to our louvres, in my opinion. Others have mounted them in the reverse way of how I chose to mount mine, but it ultimately comes down to personal preference.

The one on the DeLotus is quite interesting indeed.

Did you notice the wallpaper in the garage? Maybe they keep it in the living room.

According to the owner of 'DeLotus', his spoiler was purchased from JC Whitney from a few years back. Currently, out of production.

Good eye! I just moved into a new house and the previous owners actually did wallpaper the garage! AND it's heated! :)

Good eye?! Good eye?! You could hardly miss it. I'm just disappointed that it isn't carpeted.

Once again, a drawback from looking at the forum on the phone. :( I was blinded by the border.

Patrick, that is awesome. Shallowest pit I've ever seen, but awesome all the same.

Andy, you probably know this but:

Pics 2 and 11 are the same car, 05691 as you note
Pic 3 burnt to the grounds, IIRC
Pics 6 and 8 are the same car, don't know the VIN

Let me add this one too:

These all make my spoiler look really small, I feel inadequate now, I feel like people will be going like this at me ....:dork:

Haha.... spoiler envy...

I actually thought yours was one of the better looking ones jamesrguk. I like how the lower edge on the sides follows the angle/profile of the car.

Believe it or not it's actually of a rather boring Peugeot 405
Hmmmm tasty...

But with a bit of fettling...

These pics are when I had the rear fascia rubbed down but not yet painted. I managed to sculpt it to fit the profile of the louver.

Love those rims too, really nice touch, whilst i think these cars look magic in stock form, just a few small tweaks, as with the above D and you can have a really stunning car.

http://dmctalk.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=17576&d=1362937611

Also the D must be the only car which looks even cooler with the addition of a luggage rack!

Nice touch with the number plate or 'tags' as I think you call them.
