Is this nationwide? I might have to break my diet unless they have a zero calorie version.

Wow. Are those available now? If so, I may have to run by the KK here in Lex and see if they have any... they definitely sound like something I'd want to try, even if just one.

Kind of wish I could get Diet Cheerwine here, it was pretty good.

EDIT: Oh, wow... you can actually order it online. AND they make caffeine-free Diet Cheerwine (http://www.cheerwine.com/caffeine-free-cheerwine-24-pack.html). DAMN but it's expensive to ship- it costs more to ship 2 24-packs than the drink itself costs!

That actually sounds pretty good- I've had other soda-based BBQ sauces before.

Damn. Stopped by the Krispy Kreme after work and asked the manager, and while he knew about them said that he'd not heard of any plans to sell them outside of the Carolinas.

I also just realized that the wedding my GF's family went to last weekend was in NC, and I could have had them pick some Diet Cheerwine up for me... :(

How in the world can Sean split this as tangential *FROM* a carburetor thread. If anything, carburetor threads are repositories *FOR* tangential and off topic posts.

I think Sean is just pissed off because the Cheerwine Finder shows a major dead zone around Dahlonega: http://www.cheerwinefinder.com/

Food Lion sells Cheerwine ice cream under its house label, but availability comes & goes (Food Lion and Cheerwine are both headquartered in Salisbury).

Naw, not pissed. I have my sources in NC that extend beyond Bill R. I can get cheerwine locally despite what your finder says, the donuts, that was a bit tougher but like I said, I have my sources. Besides, the carb thread is home for your tangents Bill.

I was wondering the same thing. Aren't donuts one of the most high carb snacks available?

Had some cherry donuts this morning from a local place called Lamar's here in KC. The office staff loves 'em. :)

I told my girlfriend about the Cheerwine doughnuts last night. The exchange was hilarious.

"Let's go to Krispy Kreme!"
"No, we can't. They're only available in North Carolina."
"Shit ... how much vacation time do you have between now and October?"

My bad, it's "LaMar's" Donuts. I was thinking about the website. Here's a link for the MO and KS DeLorean crew:

http://www.lamars.com/

They're near Main and Linwood Blvd.

Just back from Charleston over the holiday, and CW is everywhere. Despite what the cheerwinefinder says, I have never seen it in ATL.

Must be like Grapico was back in AL.

I have always wanted to try cheerwine. When I first got into cars I was into old ACVW's and a lot of those guys talked about it and such. Few months ago I went to 4 Rivers smokehouse here in FL and they had it in the bottle and at the soda fountain. Its really good, a lot better than coke!

Excellent! I now have the perfect response to anyone who asks me where the coke is hidden in my car.

Back on the donuts subtopic:

the police take their Donuts seriously in the UK

Manchester riots: Doughnut thief jailed for 16 months

A man who helped himself to doughnuts from a Krispy Kreme shop during riots in Manchester city centre has been jailed for 16 months.

Thomas Downey, 48, was released from HMP Manchester on 9 August shortly before getting caught up in the riots.

The serial offender went to a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous before downing a bottle of sherry and stumbling into Krispy Kreme in Piccadilly Gardens.

He was caught with a box of doughnuts when 20 riot officers arrived.

Downey admitted burglary and breach of an Asbo by entering part of the city centre from which he is prohibited.

Judge Robert Atherton, sentencing at Manchester Crown Court, told him: "You drink too much, too regularly and when in drink become threatening and abusive."
'Expressed remorse'

The total cost of damage to the shop - which was unsecured before Downey went in for the doughnuts - was about £17,000, prosecutors said.

The court heard he had more than 100 convictions for 233 offences and had been released from prison at 19:30 BST that day.

Zoe Nield, for Downey, said her client had left jail with only £4 in his pocket.

He was not involved in rioting but took the doughnuts because he was hungry, having spent his money on tobacco, she said.

She added: "He can't recall the events because he was drunk but he has expressed remorse."

True, but i really wasn't won over by cheerwine. Tastes like cherry dr. pepper, but worse.

I just had a bottle of this at a local bistro today at lunch, it was a little too sweet for my liking as I only drink diet anymore but all in all it wasn't bad.

Was it regular Cheerwine, or diet? The diet is what most of us have had thanks to Bill...
