Hey guys,

So recently, there has been a lot about fuel pressures, fuel pumps, bad check valves, bad accumulators, hot start problems, cold start problems, etc.

I wanted to come and give you guys some links to the K-Jetronic fuel pressure hoses/gauges. In my opinion, these are just nearly an absolute must have for the car. From $60 - $130, these gauges are well worth the money, and they can help owners save a boatload of money by properly diagnosing the fuel system and clearing up more of "the mystery" of the K-Jetronic CIS system.

To help stand behind my words, I will reveal that my gauges recently went bad - a pressure relief valve on one of the hoses stopped functioning properly, and I cannot confidently measure rest pressure now. The gauges just "auto bleed" the fuel after 20 minutes instead of holding properly. That was a quick $95 gone, so now, I am buying them again. That's how strongly I feel about these gauges, and I'll gladly take pictures of both my old gauges and my new ones (coming in sometime next week) to prove that I "bought them once but paid for them twice."

In a recent talk with Dave Swingle, I have heard that people are asking "Where do I find these gauges??? They seem to be out of stock everywhere."

Well, here's a couple locations for you:

This one here has 3 different CIS kits alone:

Those are a few I just found in 10 minutes of searching with Google.

I just wanted to give anyone who is looking for those gauges a good shot at finding them. I know how it is to feel boggled and not have the right tools for the job. Some people just don't even know these tools are out there for them to use. Heck, when Casey showed them to me, I was like "What in the world are we ever going to use those for???" Man, I had no idea.

Anyhoo, please don't feel this post is me trying to be condescending or provoking a fight. Quite the opposite, I just wanted to help others find this pressure tester.

And for the record, you can find them on eBay. Here's the exact auction I just won and should hopefully have them here at home next week:

Hope this post helped someone somewhere!

What's the verdict on them replacing/fixing your bad set?

This is huge. Thanks. Now that I have a DeLorean and a Ferrari 308 with the Boshch K-Jetronic, I really need to invest in this.

What's the verdict on them replacing/fixing your bad set?

I was re-directed from the website I purchased them from to the actual manufacturer - Tool-Aid. They informed me they were on a 2 week wait for these gauges before I could get a new set.

I don't want to wait that long. I ordered that new set off of eBay. The Tool-Aid ones I'll send when they have a new set ready, and I'll make the exchange. At that point, I'll either have two sets of fuel gauges, or I'll sell one of the sets to someone here.

Normally, I would be willing to wait, but I want to properly measure my rest pressure. So I decided to order the new gauges.

If anyone is looking for these, you may want to try calling your local NAPA. They sold me a really nice K-Jet gauge kit for $50 just to get it off of their shelf. I guess that was a long time ago at this point... But maybe they're even more ready to unload them now!

Dude, that is awesome! If that is the case, what a great alternative! I would never have even thought of that.
