Thanks for posting. Mine has been leaking. So this will go on to my todo list. Below is additional info regarding this procedure.
No need for silicone,the seal expands slightly as you push the tube inside, as it does with the otterstat , making a perfect tight fit.

Any special way to put this otterstat seal in place? From the looks of the pictures, the access to the installation point of the dipstick looked very convenient. Was this done with the transmission loosened/moved/out of the car?
Any special sealants, silicone, Permatex's The Right Stuff, gasket maker used - or does the otterstat seal fall right in place and fit snuggly with the dipstick in place??
