Always been curious of how the PRV looks in other cars.

From Wiki:

Alpine A310 (October 1976)
Alpine A610 (1991)
Alpine GT/GTA (1984)
Citroën XM (1989)
DeLorean DMC-12 (1981-1983)
Dodge Monaco (1990-1992)
Eagle Premier (1988-1992)
Helem V6
Lancia Thema (1984)
Peugeot 504 coupé/cabriolet (1974/1975)
Peugeot 505 (July 1986)
Peugeot 604 (March 1975)
Peugeot 605 (1990)
Renault 25 (1984)
Renault 30 (March 1975)
Renault Espace
Renault Laguna
Renault Safrane
Talbot Tagora (1980)
UMM Alter II (90's)
Venturi (all models)
Volvo 242GLT/6/244GLT/6/245GLT/6c/262/262C/264/265 (October 1974)
Volvo 760 GLE (February 1982)
Volvo 780 (1985)
Volvo 960 (rare 1991 models)

I found a couple on the web

Cool, I'd love to see what kinds of parts from those could be cannibalized- er, borrowed for DeLorean use...so the water pump is still in the front of the engine?

Yep. On all the FWD applications the water pump is at the front of the engine. On the RWD cars like the Renault Alpines and the DeLorean the water pump is in the same place, which is literally then the rear of the engine (the rear of the rear-engined car). In the R30 picture you can see the cooling fan, which is bolted to the water pump pulley, something unnecessary in a D., of course.

The entire drivetrain was originally designed to support either orientation with few mods. The key was arranging for a bevel gear in the transaxle to be installed on either one side or the other so that with the same crankshaft rotation the output shafts to the wheels could rotate "forward" no matter which end of a car the drivetrain was mounted in.

While not exactly photos of the PRV V-6 in other cars, this page shows the engine in various guises OUT of other cars.

Elsewhere in the site you can read the long history of "our" engine. The last entry on the "History" page: "The Production of the Douvrin PRV V6 Engine was stopped on 15th of June 1998, after total of 970,315 engines completed.

And here is the PRV V-6 in a different year Renault R30, from an '81 R30TX it seems. Air intake is off and this motor looks very familiar to DeLorean owners. K-Jet FI system and intake manifold, throttle spool in front, cast exhaust manifold.

Plus something we don't have a lot of in DeLoreans - room to access the upper rear area of the engine bay.
