So, as busy as I make myself out to be I am trying to do small things here and there to get my car back into shape. With many thanks to the Nor Cal DeLorean club, I have a laundry list that I am trying to get through. Here I will share some of my small projects and perhaps some bigger ones. I’m really trying to get things in order so I can systematically get them done. I'm posting this in the regional forums because I figured you guys are the main ones who give a darn. Any thoughts and help is appreciated.

Oh where to start…

1. Fascia brow straightening (removal and reassemble) - Complete
2. paint rock screen and reinstall - Complete
3. replace hood cable
4. replace interior headlight switch with updated non melting kind
5. replace melted wire from switch to ground post
6. replace broken off ground post
7. install new catalytic converter
8. install transmission rubber mounts
9. install updated main ground cables
10. tune, gas up, change oil and get smoged!

Where to go after that…

1. repaint front fascia (grey)
2. glue on falling off rubber seals in luggage compartment and exterior trim
3. Deal with door rubbing (this may include replacing front windshield and ‘jacking’ up T-frame
4. Somehow smooth out dent in passenger door and put interior of door back together
5. window motor?

More down the line:

1. new tires
2. refinish metal

Hmmm – sure there’s more but we’ll start there

Good list Brian! This is a great start because as you go you'll discover all the other stuff that needs doing too. I don't even remember what minor thing we were doing that led to half your interior coming out and all the other subsequent electrical work, but that's just how these things go. :)

When's your next tech (and burger) day? I'll trade some labor for a Daft Punk helmet.... Lol

Luggage cable replaced and installed correctly this time!

Fried wire is now a new soldered wire that is ready to be attached to a new interior headlight switch.

Next tech /hamburger day... perhaps next week or the week after that? As far as trading for a daft helmet... I actually never made one so that may take some time :) But I do have plans to make one. I have the visor molds for Guy's helmet. The electronics are the bitch part though. Could I interest you in a sexy Cylon helmet though?

...and why can't I edit my first post?

I guess to update my list I'll just quote myself...

Can only modify posts for 30 minutes after posting. Glad you're making some progress! Keep it up :)

received my updated light switch kit and main ground post from DMC today. I should be installing them this weekend at some point.

Hope to have a little help and get the cat in soon. After I get it registered and smoged I have a buddy with a paint shop who will paint the front fascia and also has a car lift - which I may possibly use to install the transmission bumpers.

Cool Brian! If your friends shop does a good job on your fascias let us know. Me and Clint really need ours done badly as well. Are you going to wet sand and restore the black areas or paint them? That's the big issue - we don't want to paint them.

I'll let you guys know. I do want to restore versus repaint. Some guidance on that would be great when the time comes.

So, Anybody have time to come by and install the cat converter?
