Thought it would be nice to have a thread that neatly summarized which cars have been restored and rescued.

Write your VIN along with any other info you feel is important or unique. Before an after pictures would be cool too, but just 2 per VIN.

I'll start

3205:

- found in Gilbert, AZ in 2009, 27,000 mi
20971
- shipped to BC
- restored mostly over 18 months
- current mileage 34,000
20972

2510:

- found in Calgary, AB in 2012 with 2,100 mi
20974
- shipped to BC
- restored August 2012 - August 2013
- current mileage 2,600 mi
20975

There's mine, of course :) Pictures of everything (Pre-, mid-, and post-restoration) are on my Captain's Log and mirrored on my website (links in my signature).

559:
- Unassigned company car, 725 miles when sold at company collapse
- Found in Las Vegas, Nevada with 4,641 miles (same owner since company collapse)
- Shipped to Brecksville, Ohio
- Restored over exactly eight months (to the day!), at 4,641.6 miles
- Currently has 5,150 to 5,200 miles and counting

Any particular qualifications for this, Dave? A barn find brought back from the dead is understandable, but what about one of the "barely running/basketcases" that some of us inherited and then got it returned to near perfect running order?

My car was described by the classic car dealership as "the cleanest example they have ever seen". Based on my 6 years worth of jobs done on the car, a barn find might have been a better starting point!

Not done yet but my restoration is in progress.

11408
Purchased from DMCTalk member from Nashville, TN in April 2013
21025
Shipped to Regina, SK Canada
restored from May 2013-current
Stainless conversion, Galvanized frame, 3.0 swap
21026
(most up to date picture)

Reflecting on the state of my car, it would be a very poor parts car to most. All the panels were damaged and painted and the engine had a hole in the block. At this point, im considering it a rescued delorean!
