Heckuva job, Bob! Looks like you do some great work on these cars... I'd love to see one in person some day.

I like this one best...something about the Mr. Fusion just messes up the sleek look of the DeLorean.

I gotta just say it: I used to absolutely hate the fact that VB does this to DeLoreans. But I don't know, lately, I love it! His cars are really starting to look like solid movie replicas.

You go VB - seriously- very cool man!

The Part 1 car always had the best look for sure!

Nice work VB:thumbup2:

As annoying as the whole BTTF thing is and as much as I dislke the idea of turning original cars into time machine replicas, they are pretty darn cool. That plutonium chamber is really neat.

Definitely. I like this version a lot as well.

Question... and not poking holes at inaccuracies, because I think it looks amazing... but was there any reason or significance of which direction you rotated the plutonium chamber lid to open it? In your video it looks like you turn it clockwise to open and counterclockwise to lock it closed? Yet in the movie, I believe it was more the standard "lefty loosey, righty tighty." Can it be turned either way to lock/unlock?

I agree. I am also not thrilled when another time machine comes on the market. But I have to admit Bob's builds are getting better with each one , and this one is very nice. I guess practice makes perfect. I just wish he made other movie/ TV cars that he would bring to TV and leave the DeLoreans out of it.

He does; he makes blues brothers cars, ghostbusters ecto-1s, knight rider KITTs and KARRs, A team vans, and probably a few others.

Yes I know but those never appear on pawn stars.

He told us in another thread he's supposed to be on there again with a GB car if I recall correctly.

I have also sold Two Knight Rider cars, One Ghostbusters ECTO-1, Three Bluesmobiles and a Checker Taxi.
Right now we are finishing up a 1960 Cadillac Ecto-1, an A-TEAM van and some other surprises!!
So yeah, I have built 13 Delorean Time Machines and they are our favorite, but we do lots of other stuff too!
We ship out more Ghostbusters stuff than anyone else on the planet!
We also do small props for movies, shows, etc.
Thanks!

We can basically mount it to work any way we want.
Also, Chris, as an actor, was pretty rough on the props, as Kevin Pike has told me.
These weird inconsistencies are all over this movie and other movies too.
Like when Marty first lands in 1955 and the plutonium alarm goes off (in the glove compartment) but he looks behind the passenger seat?
Yeah, the way it is acted and the way it really is can always be a little different.
However, we can adjust the mounting to be any way we want it.
Thanks!!!

This was a weird build for me because the owner of the car had a lot of odd requests I usually don't get.
He wanted the colors subdued and originally wanted all the wires and parts to be BLACK but I convinced him otherwise.
Basically, he wanted it to look like the Sunstar model!
A case of life imitating art I guess?
SO, we ended up changing some of the way we did things on this car, mostly for the better.
The video-rear-view-mirror is something that we definitely want to do more of because that sucker is useful!
The custom exhaust was a problem because of the way it lead out the back and we couldn't re-route it out the side like
we normally do, so the boxes at the rear are awfully low, but we plan to raise the rear suspension a bit.
Overall, this was a fun car and I am impressed with how it came out.
It's not "screen accurate" but it's a cool car and people like it.
So thanks for all your positive comments!!!
- Bob

Side by side comparison of the Plutonium version and the Fusion version.

Well, that's it!
We are working on car 14 now and we plan for it to be one of the most screen accurate we have ever built!
Stay tuned!
