A couple of our suburbs seem to have taken delivery of appropriate pursuit vehicles for use on 400 (aka the Alpharetta Autobahn)

Anyone seen one yet?

and for when you need 4 doors to put the perps in the back:

Actually I think they are just stickered up loaners for parades and such, but it would be a little intimidating to see one behind you.

It's communism!! I'm glad I'm not driving up and down that stretch every day anymore.

We often see something similar show up at one of our local concours events.

A late-model "California Highway Patrol" Porsche that escorts us on the pre-show drive:

The CHP officers who get this duty don't seem to mind it much. Great photo ops.

It's just some fun for the local charity. A week later the wrap comes off and the car is back in the Porsche dealer's inventory.

Yyyyyuuup. I can't believe it myself. I'll admit that area near McGinnis Ferry is getting pretty busy with a lot of cars going in and out of businesses, and intersections close together, but to blame that for making the ENTIRE STRETCH from Holcomb Bridge to Buford (might as well be Miami to Detroit) 45 mph, is just stupid. They also claim they wanted to "remove the confusion" of the speed limit going back and forth between 45 and 55. Who's confused? I never had a problem remembering which speed was where.

It's lame. They should put their efforts into better driver training and a more thorough driver's license test. The problem is shitty drivers, not a piddly little speed adjustment.
