Anyone here have one or know much about them?

I'm consulting with a friend who's interested in buying a restored/showroom condition car and I'm in the information gathering stages. Here's what I know so far:

Built between 1955 & Dec 1962 (The last batch was sold as 1963 yr model)
They all have an 1897cc 4cyl engine w/ dual Solex carbs - *I think this is the only config
There were approximately 25k cars built, not sure how many were originally imported into the US.
They were all soft-top convertible roadsters. Beginning in 56, a hardtop was available.
Concours examples have fetched as much as $150k-$200k recently at auctions.

I've put out an inquiry for some info over on their forum, and so far I've received some decent feedback. They have a couple of books and even a DVD for a buyers guide. I may buy and read/watch those here in the coming weeks. Just thought I'd check here among friends to see if y'all have any info on them.

They're pretty neat little cars that seem to be increasing in value recently.

Wayne Carini was going over this exact car on an episode of Chasing Classic Cars last night. But it sounds like you already know more than what I remember from the show.
