another thing to do on my D, I have the black steel bracket loose under the dash at driver side. There are 2 clips that was holding it somewhere but I could'nt figure out where it goes. I took a photo of it but I did'nt know the right angle to post cause it's not easy to take a picture under a dash!!
We can see the little black PEKTRON module that is loose too. It's plastic bracket is broken. This module goes on the bracket I need to put back in place.
Thank's in advance for any help. If ever someone could send a pix of that bracket at right place it would be great :)

The third picture (with the steering wheel) shows part no 1 (mounting plate/support plate for buzzer, wiper relay, DI relay).
If this is your bugger, then the picture shows how to mount this plate.

It's going to take you a while to install it correctly (lay on your back in an awkward position if you don't remove the driver's seat :) )
Use a good lamp and lengthen and up the steering column as far as possible.
Good luck.

Don't feel bad if you can't get it back in place. I gave up and zip-tied mine to a nearby wire bundle. :Headspin:

Best done by removing the driver's seat. It is only 4 nuts. The bracket goes on the left side of the pedal box. It can be awkward. Make sure all of the stuff on it is working before trying to get it back into place. Watch that the wiring can't get caught in any moving parts. If you don't want to go through the trouble of getting it back exactly just be sure it can't bang around and make a lot of noise or fall down and scare the h-ll out of you while you are driving.

Bracket back in place. It was'nt too hard with seat and air duct ender steering column removed. I've put a longer and bigger screw on one of two screws that hold the air duct bracket so it won't fall down anymore :)
Unfortunately I found something wrong with my steering column. I had a noise coming from a loose somewhere and there is a problem near the firewall. I'll make another post :(

Thank's a lot to all

ahhhh it all makes sense now. I was trying to attach it to the tub, but it actually attaches to the pedal box. Thanks for all the pictures Josh and Jonathan!

As you can see here:

while reassembling the steering column I had the same issue ("now where the heck does this come from?" :blahblah: ), next time I'll try those solutions out!

Well it has a lot of wires on it so it must be important...
Better stick it in there somewhere! heheh

That is the picture I have needed since November of 2007.

The previous owner of my car couldn't put it on right and neither could I. I just tucked it behind the carpet on the left side. LOL

Thanks, Jonathan! :D

Hey, don't mention it Farrar!

The real credit goes to the man behind the camera, which was Dave Swingle. I had popped into their shop on my way to Alberta a couple summers ago for a visit and asked him the same question. He said, "well, why don't I show you?" And with the boxes of parts behind us on the shelf, I got this little demonstration and picture.

It sure does say a 1,000 words, eh?

Wow, I learned something. This thing actually has a place. Mine is just lying "lazily" on the top of my steering column. It was a bit of a pain to get the flasher relay replaced for my LED upgrade but I will now check if I can get it attached. Very interesting!
