Hey I found out yesterday that Hot Toys got the rights to make bttf toys back in 2012. Not much news about that since, but next year is the 30th anniversary. Does mean a 1/6th scale time machine with working lights? One can only hope.

I think Hot Toy's strong point is action and movie figures and not vehicles.

So we may see some doc brown, Einstein, Biff's and "Kalvin Kleins" in underwears :P

edit: anouncement

although nothing is mentioned in their webpage

EDIT EDIT: Googled it a bit
there is a blog (http://onesixthrepublic.blogspot.fr/2012/05/osr-exclusive-interview-with-hot-toys.html) that claims to have an interview with the Hot Toys CEO
Here is the Q&A of the subject
Q: Do you have any plans on making "Back to the Future" figures?
A: Exclusive news for OSR: Yes, we have acquired the license of the Back to the Future and also got the approval of Michael J. Fox. We will also make the DeLorean vehicle. More announcements will be coming soon.

Don't really care about the figs, but the Delorean! Be interesting how they replicate this.

Oh... gotta disagree on this. Have you seen the Batpod or the Tumbler? They are amazing and HUGE.

Yeah I have and yes they are! They are simply known for their figures. But as I standed corrected from my posts edit, the CEO did mention a delorean... Question is, what are they doing 2 years now with a license in their hands. Don't those expire?

I want a John Z. De Lorean action figure.

Mainly to piss-off Lee Iacocca.

I just read the review on the Tumbler .... 13kgs and it's HUGE!!

So I'm guessing the Delorean is going to be a massive model to fit the scaled figs. Might have to move the Mrs car out of the garage to park it next to the 1:1 Delorean.
