DCS 2104 Dayton WEDNESDAY Caravans (IL to OH)

Very informal, at this point. Only one planned fuel stop.
(brief fuel stop on I-70 E, just East of the Indianapolis area)
Approximately 5 hour drive time, with fuel stop (plus 1 hour).
Estimated departure/arrival times at each Interstate change.
Both caravans will arrive before Dayton Marriott check-in (3pm).
Feel free to meet-up with either of these caravans along the way.

Early Wednesday:

I-57 S (Exit 283) the new PILOT Gas Station (departing fuel stop @ 7am)

I-57 S (about 55 miles) to I-74 E (Champaign, IL) (thru area @ 8am CDT)

I-74 E (about 118 miles) to I-70 E (Indianapolis) (thru area @ 11am EDT)

I-70 E (about 116 miles) to I-75 S (Dayton area) (arrival about 1pm EDT)


Mid-Morning Wednesday:

I-80 E (about 35 miles) to I-65 S (Gary, IN area) (thru area by 10am CDT)

I-65 S (about 146 miles) to I-70 E (Indianapolis) (thru area @ 1pm EDT)

I-70 E (about 116 miles) to I-75 S (Dayton area) (arrival about 3pm EDT)

Leaving from DMC Midwest in Crystal Lake THURSDAY morning 9 AM.

90->294->80->65->465->70

Stopping at Hinsdale Oasis probably 10 AM (if we're lucky)

Call/email if we need to hit Lincoln Oasis but I'm not aware of anyone.

I-65 south to Indianapolis, I465 to I70,

Making a DMC-attraction stop just east of I-465 and then on to Dayton.

I think I know of at least 3 cars coming here to start. Please reconfirm.

I will be prepping my transport vehicles and trailers this weekend (and early next week) so let me know if you need help with your hitch setup.

Me and one other from MN will be joining the DMCMW caravan on Thursday morning.

Heading over on I-74 to I-465 to I-70 on Friday morning. My wife traveled I-70 east in February and said there was a stretch of road about 5-10 miles east of Indy on I-70 east that was full of large potholes and pretty much crap! Anyone traveled this way lately or know anything about this? She thinks this stretch of road could take out several Deloreans.

70 east of Indy was pretty bumpy - needs to be rebuilt or at least resurfaced!

Very windy West of Indy on I-74 West yesterday, especially in Illinois.

Made it really difficult to open and close my 14ft x 14ft door (sail?)
on my big pole building, but I got my vehicles "tucked in" last night.
