For us poor bastards that couldn't make it :sad30:, would some of you lucky bastards post some photos for us to enjoy (assume we aren't on FB) :thumbup2:

Thanks

Here's a few to start. There'll be more to come. Sorry you're not here but I hope this helps.

I uploaded them small to keep downloads reasonable. Let me know if they're good or if they suck so I can correct as necessary.

Thanks guys. Good to see it getting underway. Though it is making me a little sadder :frown:

They are a little small Alan, when looked at on the PC. If you can upload bigger, that would be fantastic.

Keep 'em coming.

Good idea Dermot. I'll have to live this DCS through those attending and the pics they put up on this thread/forum.

Thanks to those posting pics here for us poor souls to view.

I was able to snag about 3 before the VR6 was noticed. Eddie's name is getting around a good bit; the VR6 and the 2JZ both being here as products of his work along with Sherry's freshly converted EFI is garnering some talk.

Sorry the DCS pictures are blurry =/ ....

http://i1246.photobucket.com/albums/gg607/delorean03/Picture013.jpg (http://s1246.photobucket.com/user/delorean03/media/Picture013.jpg.html)

Last two are at my place with Eddie doing some fine tuning on Sherry's EFI powered car:

From analog dwellmeters and fuel pressure gauges to this:

Lots more to come. We went at 8:30pm - a tiring 14 minute drive from my front door. Hopefully, I'll be a bit more rested tonight for more pictures :P.

They look quite nice but I am unable to click through them I only get the first one and no arrows, etc. to continue. Is it my browser? Does anybody have the same experience? I used Firefox.

And could anybody ask if a future DCS could be held closer to the Pacific Northwest? :)

Sorry to hear you weren't able to make it Dermot (and Jeff!). I would have liked to have met you in person here. Every single "forum personality" I have met here so far has been great... without exception. Funny how that works when what translates through the keyboard doesn't always work out so well. Definitely a good group of people here and in the DMC community.

Yep, ditto.

Last minute cancellation. It's been a bad year so far. (I think 'D Knight' got my spot).

Apart from the people, Curtis's car was one I was looking forward to! And a Tellus!!

Wow! Vindic8r is looking very impressive. Not my cup of tea, but a well done job on pimping the D! The interior looks like a red DeLorean and KITT had a baby. This is not meant as an insult! :nono:
It is a really well done job on that dash! A great 80s digital upgrade plus all the LCD displays. This makes the Delorean even more looking and feeling like a spaceship. I like that! :thumbup2:

Thak you all for the great pics! We should have a life stream for all people at home next year! ;)

Just bumped into Christopher Loyd in the lobby at DCS, and then got into the elevator with Mayor Goldie Wilson. Pretty awesome.

Here are two pics, upside down, sorry.

I'm at the airport now heading home. Been one hell of a trip. I'm not normally a fan of musicals, but the BTTF musical performance was great. Below is the obligatory picture of me and Christopher Lloyd. For a guy known to be shy, it must have been tough to be such center of attention whenever he went outside. Knowing that makes this picture that much more special to me.

These are a few from yesterday. Actual car show is today so should be much more to see later on in the day.

So what's the story on the custom D with the yellow interior? What I'm more interested in is the single headlights. Any thread on it somewhere? I did a mockup in Photoshop like that a year ago or so not even knowing someone already did it.

Thats' nothing short of a miracle. When he walks on water does he glide or take steps?

If you don't mind me asking, what does a repair like that cost and how long did it take?

When he does work here, it was (2012) $100/hour. Don't know if that's changed as I haven't needed any work since.

Yes, he is the Stainless Steel Surgeon.

Who has Arizona plates SRESSHT ?

I saw them today between Dayton and Columbus in my Tesla (my plates are 1.21GW).. and they were giving me the "thumbs up" sign a couple of times. We drove together for about 30 minutes and then diverged right before Columbus.

I was wondering if they knew that I was at DCS? Or just thought it was a cool coincidence with my BTTF theme plates?

I sold my Delorean in January.

These are the last two I had that I thought you'd like to see.

They are from the Saturday dinner and the BTTF cast. The Ontario guys that saved me a seat at the table got me in a great spot for taking pictures. I think if I was sitting any closer my feet would have been on the stage!

Ken mentioned a couple times that most shows have had about 50% new guests. Meaning, half the people in the room have never been to a DCS. This goes with the dozen or so people that have been to every single one. I had never been to one and had never heard many of the stories or jokes or whatever.

The picture you see of Christopher Lloyd holding a t-shirt up has a saying from the "Mustang Story." I had never heard it before and didn't know what it meant. Earlier in the weekend I think I saw a couple people wearing the shirt, like bumping into Dan Whocruiser in the hallway and he was wearing one.

Not knowing what the meaning was, it made it fun when Bob Gale gave the long version for those that had never heard it. It was pretty great getting to hear these kinds of things.

That video is a good summary. He didn't have the best working conditions as you can see, the sun was blazing down and he was right next to a very loud speaker, but he was still happy to do the work, talk to folks and answer questions in the middle of work, let people watch, and he still put out quality work. Very inspiring to watch a such a craftsman at work. Extremely nice guy as well.

The wheels on the Proto-1 Delorean look just the right size for this car. Low profile, but not too big. Are there any options to get wheels that look like our Delorean wheels, but are this size? I know there are some that are even bigger than this, but they are so low profile they look odd.

I actually took note of the rim size while at the show. Fronts are 15", rears are 16". Only one inch bigger than production rims, but I agree, I think they look a lot better.

Thanks everyone for sharing your photos. It's interesting to see all the custom touches people put on their cars...it seems like the custom changes are what people tend to photograph most, since owners know what a bone stock DeLorean looks like.

I took this interesting "close parking" photo very early on Sunday morning (see the full moon still in plain sight over the D Rex).

Not sure why this Bricklin owner felt the need to "crowd" the D Rex in front of the Dayton Marriott, but he must have moved to that spot
after Ecto-1 left and after I went to bed. (best guess between 2am and 6am) He was still in that spot after I moved and loaded the D Limo
and before I moved the D Rex to the back lot (after 7:30am) to load the D Rex back onto it's trailer before 8 am.

Dang! I missed that. I suspect the Bricklin folks weren't that impressed with auto doors... I never knew that a Bricklin came standard with automatic doors. I really enjoyed seeing those cars there. Super nice Bricklin people to match the great Delorean folks.

By far, the coolest thing at DCS was the automatic closing doors on that guy Tom's car.

Does anyone have video of the doors or, how Tom did it?

Thank you for the encouragement on the door closers (anti-launchers). My friend Dave and I spent many hours getting them to work properly. They still have some bugs to be worked out. They work with a linear actuator in the pontoon's tied to a bowden cable (e-brake type) that pulls the strut closed. I posted the video we shot the Saturday before DCS.

Christopher Lloyd had more than one surprise for me at DCS 2014.

So after Christopher Lloyd finished his ride around in the D Rex, he had another request for me.
"Can I take some photos of your limo, with all of the doors up?" (I had shut the doors at 5pm)

Of course I said "Sure, no problem, take as many photos as you would like". (opened all 6 doors)

Christopher's agent or 'handler of the day' asked him if he wanted to get in one of the photos
and Christopher said "No, I just want the limo in the photos and I will take the photos myself".

So Christopher took about a half dozen photos of the DeLorean Limo on his SmartPhone (iPhone?)
and I recommended a few angles, so he could get the whole car and all the open doors in photos.

Hmmm. I cannot help but wonder why he specifically wanted his own DeLorean Limousine photos.

My friend Cindy got a few photos, but after taking a few photos of Christopher signing autographs
in the shade, the "Christopher taking photos of the DeLorean Limo" photos were a bit over-exposed.
I will see if I can try to correct a few of the photos in PhotoShop over the weekend, but I thought
I would post a couple of the not-so-bad ones, here and now, until I try to correct over-exposure.

Very good point.
We have all seen all Deloreans there over 3-4 times. But what interest us even more are the vendor tables and what's new in the market.

From what I understand, they offered Christopher the opportunity to sit in Proto 1 which he also denied. Maybe getting in and out of so many cars is too exhausting at his age

With the fact that he both climbed up and in, then out and down from the D Rex, I do not think his age or ability was a limiting factor.

He was more than capable of getting in and out of the D Rex, with very little difficulty (and he also followed my instructions to a "T")
and he was ready to get right over to the D Limo after exiting the D Rex, so I doubt that exhaustion was part of the equation.

I would also deny myself that honor. Although it would be a thrill, knowing my luck with DeLoreans just touching it would cause something to give up and break. :mallet:

Who has Arizona plates SRESSHT ?

I saw them today between Dayton and Columbus in my Tesla (my plates are 1.21GW).. and they were giving me the "thumbs up" sign a couple of times. We drove together for about 30 minutes and then diverged right before Columbus.

I was wondering if they knew that I was at DCS? Or just thought it was a cool coincidence with my BTTF theme plates?

I sold my Delorean in January.

We were driving from DCS to visit family in Pittsburgh before heading back to AZ.

My fiancee was eating pizza there approx that time, but I didn't get any (I just asked her why, bc I don't even remember there being pizza- she said I didn't want any bc I was too busy being excited haha) Are you talking about Oliver? He was the guy with the Time Machine. I think we went to bed around midnight-ish.

No, not Oliver - me and my car, which is a regular DeLorean.

There were some girls outside that had attended The Menus concert that was at the hotel that night (out by the pool). They wanted rides, so I took them one at a time in my car. Another girl (from Minnesota who was there with her friend who has a DeLorean and was really hoping that she'd win the raffle car and had a dog named 'Doc') who was there for DCS was sitting next to you guys and asked if I could wait for her to finish her cigarette because she wanted a ride as well. As I was waiting for her to finish smoking, I got out of my car and approached you guys - your fiance offered me some pizza, but I declined as I wasn't hungry. The concert girls were taking pics in front of my car, at which point Jeffrey Weissman came out, hopped in my car, and posed for pictures for/with them and my car.

You guys didn't take any pictures of this that I'm aware of.

Each time I brought a girl back to the hotel from the ride, we did the last 1,200 feet or so with the doors open as we approached the circle/overhang.

Do you or your finance remember this? It happened some time on Friday night between 12am-2am. Not sure of the exact time.

I'm trying to prove to my Today friends that I really did take several girls on rides in my car on Friday night, as they don't believe me.

Thus, if you or fiance remember this at all, I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know

I find it hard to believe that anyone would own a DeLorean just to pick up young women and take their photos for macho-man bragging rights on the Internet. That's probably just me, though.

And that's precisely why I have no proof of the evening - because I wasn't taking any photos of my own, only for my passengers. I'm not looking for any kind of bragging rights either - just need some vindication so that they all don't continue to believe that I simply too tired to accurately distinguish between male and female and merely ended up giving Chris Burns 4 separate rides my car that night

Alright, here some of my pictures. I had over 1,000 pics from DCS 2014, so I tried to narrow it down. I might have to upload them over a couple posts since there are so many.

These first 2 are from when we were on our way to DCS. The sign is from when we somehow ended up in a redneck nudist resort in Indiana. I'm surprised we made it out alive. The 2nd picture was when we stopped for lunch in the northern suburbs of Chicago (city of Winnetka I think?) and drove by the house from the movie Home Alone.
