Hey guys,
I have a fellow D owner who is shipping me a pallet with 200 lbs worth of parts but his been stalling the shipping for quite some time. He says:
- UPS will not ship a pallet that heavy
- Instead he insists on using a service called uship; seems like a low-end type deal. Apparently, the way uship works is that you make reservations for a pick-up and then they make their pick-up rounds more or less at their leisure. My buddy says that they've been canceling the pick-up on him now for WEEKS. Hmmm...

It's after midnight here in Texas so before I look into this tomorrow: Can someone suggest best way to ship a 200 lb pallet from CA to TX?

Thanks!

A quick look at UPS' website tells me that their LTL (Less Than Truckload) is the way to go. Y'alls input is appreciated though.

I don't suppose breaking it up into more manageable loads is an option?

You may want to try http://www.freightquote.com

I've used them in the past to put me together with private contract carriers at a decent rate.

One of that parts is a manual gearbox which is almost all of the weight.

The seller ended up using this company and my parts are shipping out on Monday. Thanks for the tip Nightflyer!
