I'll take the hood (gas flap).
With the frame compromised, and the tub only maybe/possibly repairable, this isn't so much a candidate to an engine swap as parting out. Once you factor in a replacement frame, replacement tub, etc... not much left but body panels. At $2K, the price was right for a set of body panels on wheels.
Sadly, I don't think this would be the worst car that BHCC has had in the past year or so! The roll cage car was pretty rough!
By the way, the 1974 Cadillac 500 only produced 210HP...ugh. By 1976 emissions controls including the cat reduced HP to 190! That's a lot of butchery for a 60-80 HP increase...sad! And, as it sits right now the poor car has ZERO HP :-(
Well, the For Sale ad had disappeared from FB, so it has gone somewhere.
That may also be due to the shaming he got for bragging about the car and posting the price he paid, then a day or two later posting the car for sale at a 350% increase.
Still, with companies like BHCC out there, I wouldn't be surprised if someone offered him double what he paid.
The seller confirmed that the car has been sold. It will be interesting to see if it reappears. Does anyone have the vin?
It's in the first post - 2739, only 4 away from mine.
Just read on FB that VB bought it for a "static BTTF Display" and that it will never be on the road again.
