DMC Club Spring Brunch and Meeting - Sunday, April 30th, 2018

DMC Club Members and DeLorean Enthusiasts,

Please consider joining us at the DMC Club Spring Brunch on Sunday, April 30th.
The whirl-wind of the past two years has finally sub-sided after the monumental
task of planning and executing an outstanding DeLorean Convention and Show (DCS)
in 2016 ... its been both a challenge and now a relief for many DMC Club members.

A big thanks to all the DMC Club members who helped the DCS 2016 Planning Team,
whether it was before or during DCS 2016, making this event a great success.
A huge thanks to Dave and Mike at DMC Midwest for all their help and work on
both DCS Raffle Cars (2015 & 2016). The cars spear-headed fund-raising efforts.

Thanks to Ed Raffenetti with his last minute contribution to the 2016 Raffle Car
by donating a used "head unit" and his time, to install the stereo system, with
only a few weeks left before DCS 2016. It helped make the Raffle Car complete.
If not for our DMC Club and its members, there would not have been a DCS 2016.

With this in mind, the DMC Club Officers have decided to waive the club fees
for 2017 as a "Thank You" to all the club members who helped with DCS 2016.

On a somewhat related note ...

A final decision has not been made (yet) if and where there may be a DCS 2018,
but the DCS Planning Team may make an official announcement in a month or two.
However, if you want to "pencil in" some dates [for 2018], Aug. 2 to Aug. 5, 2018
will be the most likely dates for DCS 2018 to take place next Summer. Stay tuned.

The DMC Club Spring Brunch and Meeting is next weekend, so make sure to mark
your calendars for Sunday, April 30th, for brunch at Ginger's Pub in Highwood, IL.

Our meeting will re-cap all our DeLorean Events in 2016, as well as preview 2017.

Meeting for all club members: 11am - 2pm (Club Officers: 10:30am - 2:30pm)
Meeting includes a multi-media wrap-up of 2016 events, including DCS 2016

If you have any photos or videos from DCS 2016 or other DMC events during 2016,
feel free to bring them along on a USB Memory Stick and we can display them.

As for 2017, we have a few exciting events that we plan to preview at the brunch,
including both the Bloomington British Car Show and the DMC Midwest Open House
events, both taking place this June, as well as the British Car Union Show (BCU)
that takes place the second Sunday of September each year, at Harper College.

First weekend of May is the 11th Annual Illinois Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor
Festival and Cruise. You can drive through many of the towns along Route 66,
starting in Joliet, and continuing southwest, officially ending in Towanda, but if
the weather is nice, you may choose to make a trek to Springfield, IL and back.
