Anyone know the story behind this one, at a repair shop in Toronto?

I wonder if the fire was external, ie the engine or any part of the car was not on fire. I say this cause the pontoons look fine, and if there was an engine fire they would probably suffer some damage.
I am interested to hear more info on this car!
Don't know the story, but a local owner is in contact with the owner of the car trying to purchase it
That could be the result of a garage fire. With a few hours of cleanup that stainless could look nice again. However, the picture doesn't illustrate what the remainder of the engine compartment looks like. As long as the wiring isn't melted and the interior isnt trashed, the car might have potential.
If somebody on the forum decides to take this one on as a project, let me know if I can be of any assitance.
Man, that's a shame to see. Looks like it could be salvaged though.
Looks like a car perfectly suited for an engine swap .
