2017 DeLorean Mid-Atlantic Spring Social
I'm excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2017 Spring Social! This year we're partnering with the Mid-Atlantic Fiero Owners Association for a full weekend worth of activities! We'll be hosted at Jon Miller's Car Care Center in Tuckerton, New Jersey on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Tech sessions will be in full swing for both clubs in adjacent garage bays, so feel free to use this chance to check out another 80s icon. Vehicle inspections will be held by Rob Grady of PJ Grady and door adjustments by Marc and Tom of Tom's Garage. Jon will be leading the Fiero tech sessions with topics including wheel alignment, and tire balancing. We'll be having an Italian lunch that includes subs, pasta, meatballs, sausage/peppers/onions, and tossed garden salad. The cost of lunch is $10 per person.
Both clubs will also be presenting trophies made out of “car parts” for a bit of ‘unique and quirkiness’ for which both Fieros and DeLoreans are all too familiar with being classified as. There will be a vote for ‘Best DeLorean’ and ‘Best Fiero’ as voted by each club for the counterpart.
Dinner will be held at Cuisine on the Green at Atlantis in nearby Little Egg Harbor. We’ll have table seating with buffet style serving including a menu of tossed salad, eggplant rollantini, herb roasted chicken, asian glazed salmon, chef's vegetables, rice pilaf and rolls. Dinner cost is $39 per person.
On Sunday we'll be participating in a driving tour with the Fiero club around the beautiful Pine Barrens area of Southern New Jersey. We'll be heading out to New Jersey Motorsports Park for the chance to drive road course paced laps and go-karting. Paced laps are a group of cars that follow the pace car, there is no passing and you do speeds of 50 - 60 mph. Cost is $25 per car. Payment will be gathered on premises. Go-karting is arrive and drive. You will get one 15 minute session for $35 plus tax then any additional time you want to go out will be $20 plus tax per person.
We've reserved a limited number of rooms at the Holiday Inn in Manahawkin. Rates are $129 +tax for Friday or Saturday night. Please reserve your room directly with the hotel at (609) 481-6100 or online using the group code DMS. The deadline to reserve a room is March 29.
