Anyone know if they are going to make that shift gate again for the 5-speed? Its quite an enticing product.

We have a version coming out but it is VERY different. The one you are taking about caused an issue of the shifter being metal on metal with the gate piece. We have an insert that extends slightly past the shift gate edge so that when you move the shifter it runs against the plastic instead of the shift gate. These will be released in January after a bit of testing. I will have the first prototypes from stainless works in December.
Can you provide an estimate on the cost yet? I had wanted DMOCO's unit, but the price was too high for my taste.
As I have been stating in other threads recently. I'm producing these items in quantity to help keep the price down. I should easily be sufficiently below the previous 105 mark.
Believe it or not the expense part isn't the stainless. Its water jetting the plastic rub guide.
Huhuhuhuhuh, 'rub guide', huhuhuhuh
I questioned my wording as soon as I posted that. But I'm too lazy to edit. You got that one Mike.
All I've got to say is THANK YOU. I was about to post a thread asking where I could find the 5 speed shifter plate and I found this thread by accident.
I currently have the original shift boot, and shifting into 1st, 3rd, or 5th pushes the boot forward and dislodges it from the console. DMC have an improved part with a metal frame, but I think I like the metal shift plate better.
On a similar topic, does anyone know where I can find the center console plate WITHOUT the hole for the clock? My clock is dead and I'm not going to spend $150 to replace it, so I'd rather buy the console plate that doesn't have the hole for it so I can cover it up seamlessly.
