Stainless clips (part no 10672) from UK vendor

The DeLorean uses 48 metal clips (Part Number 10672) to grip the strips (Part Nos 106388 - 106392 and 108465) that hold the grills to the engine cover.

I replaced my 40 year old rusty ones with stainless clips - good price too for a pack of 50.

The UK company is Bresco and they sell tons of stuff for classic cars.

You will need to specify stainless steel to Howard (who owns the business) - they are perfect.
