Beautiful picture and touching remembrance there Jonathan.
I didn't take this picture (obviously, because I'm in it), but this is the best picture I've seen of either of my DeLoreans. DCS '04... this is the cleanest 5252 ever was during my ownership!

I'm a little bias but I really like this one.

Here are a few pictures of 2812 I have taken over the years:
Not the best photo I've ever taken of our car, only the best photo I've taken of it in front of a gargantuan Mini Countryman after the DeLorean was first deflated by a giant arrow.
No, these two cars aren't photoshopped. One ugly parking meter did get removed for our viewing enjoyment.

I didn't know what I'd shot until I began to crop the image later and saw just how large a "Mini" can be nowadays. Outweighs a D by 100lb, is 15 in. taller but still 6 in. shorter.
The relative size effect is probably emphasized by the lighting thanks to a nearby palm tree.
Location: San Francisco waterfront with the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge in the background. And a very bright, striking piece of public art behind the D.
That's a very cool picture!
I remember when the first new mini coopers started to be on the road, it was 2001 and I was 12... I clearly recall that I was in LOVE with that car! They were pretty rare as well, and they were a kind of a status-symbol car I guess. Back then I used to think: "One day that will be my real car!", just because I thought that the "Delorean" was a fake sci-fi car that was non existent.
I was definitely wrong.
