You can't open driver side door from the inside - too heavy! Had to crawl out the passenger side.
I was driving and there was a very loud bang above my head ...
My Driver side torsion bar just snapped. I see there are a couple of options:
DMOCO/SpecialTAuto sell one for $850 (seem to be the...
That does look nice! Depending on price, I would be interested...
Congratulations! Were you driving out to the mountains?

Oooh, that's a bummer! Sorry!
Hello!
Sorry, I've been out of town and just got back. I'm still planning to drive my D, but haven't worked out the specifics yet. And I've still got work to do on it! 5 weeks left!
Have you worked...
Cool! I like that!

Hello Steve,
I just got back in town and saw your post. IIRC, the adapter has 12 holes but you only use 6. It still works. There is an arrow on it that points to the top center.

This is the diameter of the one DMOCO sells:
"The diameter of the Emblem we sell is 30.32mm."

I got one for my aftermarket steering wheel.
Not like we are opinionated or anything :)
I think that may be bikercmbc from Knoxville. He just bought another D, was bringing it home from Alabama one of these days.
Very interesting data. Thanks for posting!
I actually liked the Porsche 928. I'm glad I didn't buy one! :jawdrop:
I would be up for May, I'll be gone the month of April.
Here's some pictures...

I just made it back! It was great meeting you all!
Last time I came back from the October meet, I had trouble with my lights. Sure enough, my lights failed me again. I did manage to get them going,...
The weather is not looking too good for me, and I haven't received the weatherstripping, so most likely I will not make the 200 mile trek each way tomorrow... :-(
Hello James, do you have a target date on getting the windshields with antennas? Are we talking a couple of months, or six months, or more?
For the emblem, I used the Auto Shifter Emblem from DMOCO http://www.dmoco.com/products.html
It's small, but worked fine for me.
Ah, that makes sense. I thought it was a cool auto trans...
I got a similar $35 wheel and I love it. The DMC adapter did cost twice as much! But for that money I can change the wheel anytime and the adapter is the same.
Mine is smaller than stock, so it does...
I'm also interested in one with antenna, as long as it doesn't add too much to the price.
It's a trade-off of convenience (not having to install an external antenna) vs. price and getting better...
Hmmm... "designed to last 20 years rust-free" - no wonder my roof rusted! :-)
Hmmm... rain would not be good for me. I still don't have the outer door weatherstripping. I do have the new inner door weatherstripping installed, but I'm not sure if that by itself will keep the...
I just called Grady and the parts they sell are also NOS.
I would rather have fresh rubber, but lacking that, does the NOS rubber still look good? (I don't mean the appearance of it :-) )
I was replacing a window motor today and I noticed a couple of pieces that looked like the fuzzy part of a velcro strip come out, don't know from where. Is that what they are? I am also wondering...
