Holy cow... What a post! Amazing project.
Very cool, and I applaud you keeping this thread updated all these years. Just went back to see when the first post was -- Jan 10, 2015. The below line stuck out at me.... LOL, was that supposed to...
Looks like a great time! Thanks for sharing. Gotta say, I'm jealous -- days like that for the GA/Atl group are all way in the past.
Around 15 years ago I replaced mine with a soft one from DMCH. It lasted only 1-2 years. Then I got a Delrin one from Toby DMCPNW, and it's still working in the car today.
Interesting...
Hello, does anyone have any extra new Bosch HR6DS spark plugs laying around, that they'd be willing to sell? I would need 6 of course, if you're interested.
Thank you,
If I pull them, it's going to be stone cold, as I've had the intake manifold and all other necessary parts off the engine for some time.
Thanks! I've never changed spark plugs before on any engine, so trying to figure out if it's even necessary at this point. To my knowledge, they were fresh 14,000 miles / 21 years ago. (28k-42k...
dmcman73, did you install the NGK 2238s? How do you like them?
I'm trying to figure out which ones to buy for my car, or even whether to replace them all all. I'm in the valley for another...
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know why there are two different versions of the DMCMW/DMCH inconel tabs? I know the automatics are harder to install, but can't imagine the round head making that any...
Thanks for your reply. I pushed on and am much further in the process now (almost done). Just this morning I removed the 4 manifold bolts after letting them soak in PB Blaster overnight. Having...
OMG, yes!!! I've said similar things to my wife in the past, when coming in from the garage in frustration. I've decided it's best to leave "one thing" broken, something that's not too bothersome,...
+1,000. We all need to get together like there's no tomorrow. Life is starting to move too fast.
I'm about 75% of the way through this, and when trying to loosen some of the fuel lines from the distributor, the entire fuel mixture unit tilts up at the rear and rocks towards the firewall. Maybe...
What a cool video - very well done! You did the occasion proud.
Looks like a lot of comments have been added since I first saw it last night.
Anyone know where/when/why/who? (assuming these pictures are actually recent -- I always take reddit stuff with a grain of salt)
...
Not trying to derail the thread, just looking for one quick answer. Did that car get hit? Or was it only very close....
It looked for sure like they did, and I thought they were gonna stop to...
Was this a shop in the Atlanta area?
Duuuuuude!!! Great to see you on here. I still check this forum regularly, but a lot of the Atlanta crowd only does Facebook now, as I'm sure you know.
After all the holiday parties and dust settled, yesterday evening I was able to work on the car. I think replacing the gas has solved the issue. Below are pics of what it looked like. Pretty...
I'll double check it, but I do periodically put a multimeter on it and it has always read strong since I put it in.
Interesting about them moving out of the country. My previous battery was another...
Thanks for the responses everyone, it is much appreciated! It's gonna be a busy next few days with Christmas, but I will try and swap out the gas for fresh, check that the plunger isn't stuck, and...
Hi guys,
TL;DR version: Engine hesitates when revved above idle. Sounds like it will stall. Bad gas? Or look for other things? (video link below)
Long version:
I went to drive my car...
Incredible!!! Please post more pics if you can!
Someone posted on Reddit today that they bought an unlisted car from there, very similar to the one you linked above. Someone in the comments even thought it was that 83 car as well. Anyway, looks...
