Thanks. I decided to just exchange for a regular CarPlay wired version. Might’ve tried to go just a tad too modern for the Delorean
Figured I’d add onto this thread instead of starting a new one. The new Apple CarPlay wireless units apparently require a VSS or car speed sensor wire to be connected in order to work. Is that even...
You guys rock, thanks! About the number or presses, I meant to say 2 not 3, sorry for the confusion. It definitely looks like I popped fuse 8 because the passenger exterior lights are out as stated....
Hey everyone. So the other day my headlights stopped coming on, parking lights, but no headlights on third switch press. However, the headlights did come on, along with the high beams, when using the...
Ugh. Did that when I installed my stereo. Not thrilled about doing it again but I guess I’ve got no choice. My headlights don’t come on with the switch, but do with the high beam dip on the...
Thanks, unfortunately I have to replace the switch because it’s original and likely melted. So you can’t just take off the hvac panel and pull it out? How do you remove the switch from behind?
Bringing this back from the dead because I need to replace my headlight switch. Do you just pop the switch out toward you with a panel tool?
Thanks Rich, I did verify that the switch was clicking as well, but it's obviously the original so I'm sure it's possible it could be bad. The revs drop a bit when putting the car into Drive or...
With the holidays over I finally had a chance to take a closer look. The throttle appears to be closing and it looks like screw on the microswitch is making contact properly and doesn't appear to...
Thanks for all of the suggestions! I'll start trying to troubleshoot. Unfortunately another issue my car has is that the tach is frozen, so I can't tell what RPM it is at, however I think it's higher...
I did some quick searches and didn't find this particular issue, although I may not know exactly what to search for. Anyway last week the car began revving very high during idle. As soon as you start...
Not sure if this is the same issue or not, but I had a problem recently where my brake lights would sometimes be dim or not turn on at all. It turned out to be the little switch under the brake pedal...
Very cool, count me in!
Thanks for the quick response Dave. I meant to say the switch seems tricky to get to. Mine has a cover over it and it's at a funny angle. Great suggestions though!
Hey everyone, i did a search first and didn't see anyone else with this exact problem. My brake lights have become very inconsistent. When pressing the brake pedal say 10 times, twice they might not...
Thanks for the info! I will look for that relay
Really? Do you remember if the polarity of the pins was reversed from the original relay?
Thanks for the info, I guess I will have to try that, not going to be fun while wedged under the steering column.
Bringing this one back from the dead because I attempted to switch out my flasher relay today so I could upgrade to LEDs. I found the relay and actually had no issues taking it out, the plug is in...
I hear you, there are some things if you search hard enough you can find alternatives at normal prices, but yeah most parts there is zero competition so the vendors just stick it to us. I was able...
Thanks everyone! Very good suggestions, I will begin researching the parts mentioned.
So now that I have the parts I need I am going to be replacing the factory shocks and springs soon. My question is, what are the best things to do while the suspension is apart? My car is mostly...
Watched it today. It was kind of bleh. Not because of the Delorean, just the guys in it are extremely annoying. At the end they gave the car the respect it deserves, and the one owner Mario seemed...
I didn't bother with the elbow portion and put the intake hose directly in, it works fine and stays put better that way.
Welcome! It appears there is no shortage of options in North Jersey, unfortunately for Philly or South Jersey folks like myself, the options are a lot more limited. If you find someone in the area...
