Ordered from DPNW. Thanks!
Drayron- awesome job, love it. I’m down for a set whenever they are available again. Seems like the mods might need to split this thread to remove the off topic covefe.
Best,
Ken
Worked well for me, no issues with torquing etc. No leaks....

Hi Josh,
I'll take you up on that- thanks!

I recently installed the DeLorean Industries coilover set all round, with their billet LCAs and lower control arm stabilizers. Everything feels very solid now, no wander under braking. The only...
Yes. The reason is that I can trigger the 4-5amp draw by applying as little as 0.3V to the field trigger line, and it (usually) stops when I remove the trigger voltage. A failed diode would stay...
I am working with DMCH on exactly the same issue. Alternator field circuit stays active with ignition off, draws about 4 amps.
My first thread on the alternator issue
...
Directly to the field terminal, nothing feeding back to the chassis wiring.
Interestingly here's another member with the same issue just posted with a DMCH alternator. I get a 4amp draw associated...
I'm 100% sure it's from the alternator. I can trigger it by sending an independent voltage to the field when everything else is turned off.
Before I figured out that cycling the ignition stopped the whine, I did some testing to see what voltage the regulator needs to see on the wire coming through the alternator idiot light to turn on...
David- I know the alternator controller is keeping the field active and the whine is from the PWM field current controller. What I don't know is why the alternator controller in the DMC alternator...
My DMC alternator has the whine and parasitic drain. Replaced it and the second DMC unit does the same. Not every time, and what I have found is that if I turn the ignition back on for a couple...
I guess it would be an issue if the exhaust wasn't clean or I didn't have cats, but I really haven't noticed that much of a problem. Generally it takes only about 10 seconds to back in, less to get...
Great minds etc.- good to see I'm not the only one thinking along these lines. The neat thing about these connectors is that they are self aligning, so even if you can't easily see the socket it's...
Essential to have trustworthy jacks. I like the style with locking collars.

I did look at the self ejecting connectors- they are cool and very spendy. There's a weather cover for the car side receiver- on order- but agreed this is a California solution. Would be tricky in a...
I wanted to have an easy means to connect a battery tender and/or run the ship on ground power for troubleshooting or maintenance purposes. As a side bonus I wanted a connection I could make without...
Little bit close to get the full perspective but you can see the clear cutoff on low. I'm using these LED headlights.

Amazon's fine print says that the 77001 part is legal in Canada, and the 77862 is SAE/DOT compliant. And I've just discovered that I purchased the Canadian spec lamps....but they work fine....
I bought the el cheapo lamps first, ended up throwing them out. Thin quality glass, crappy reflector material and poor fit in the housings. The Hellas are more robust, heavier and fit well....
These Hella lights are more expensive but are a perfect fit in the DeLorean buckets. Mine were $89 a pair when I bought them.

Everything in the photo below for $250 plus shipping (or preferably you'll pick up from me in Alameda or Oakland). Came off VIN46** at 6000 miles. Some overspray on the springs from an underbody...
