I guess I have been lucky that I have always sprayed onto an applicator instead of right on the dash then. LOL
I have used 303 in my car sparingly for 4 years with no discoloration issues.
It sounds to me to be more of an unfortunate accident of not following the directions printed on the label of the 303. I have used 303 sparingly in my cars interior following the directions on the...
Kind of a misleading article. DMC built 2 AMX Gold DeLoreans. Kapac used the spare parts DMC had for the two they built (minus 1 door) to modify "the last vinned 83" into a 3rd. This car is a replica...
Toyota has invested 50 Million into Tesla, and is partnering with them in EV development. Due to Toyotas involvement and stake I really don't see Tesla as an independent U.S. based car maker in the...
+1
I'm having a hard time visualizing what your DeLorean is going to look like with all these mods your describing.
Wow.
Not only Concour car owners care about having OEM correct parts. Considering the auction price I'm thankfull I am not in need of a binnacle as mine is equal to the one pictured in the auction, but if...
Thanks Rich, I thought any of the mild steel inner door cars may had had their doors swapped to production doors once the design was changed.

You could always have the car vinyl wrapped.
Here are a couple more pictures of the car that was featured on the magazine, and that same car (likely) and another one being worked on at DMC

Looks like the fitting around the hole in kneepad for the A/C is not stock, no glovebox...
It looks to me like one of the 20 or so hand built training cars, I have a picture somewhere on my hard drive that shows two cars close to completion at DMC that have the insides of the doors painted...
It's the Visioneering car, no doubt.
Thanks, after seeing pics of the burgandy car last night and the consistency of the blue interior in this one to that my opinion changed.
That one looks like a dye job done by an owner. Notice all the stitching is the same color. That isn't factory.
I hope not, the Oxnard Car should have been run over by the train in place of the B car when Part III was filmed. The best thing that car ever had was after filming when it wore the original Goodyear...
What leads you to believe that in your cars case the engine cover has been replaced or someone went through the trouble of painting it? Or is the originality or lack their of not your deciding factor...
Agreed, not all 500 series cars have the underside of the engine cover unpainted.
Does anyone know what the status of the DMC-EV concept is? It was predicted by some (myself included) that if the DMC-EV concept failed to lure enough buyers willing to spend 100K on a "new DeLorean"...
We'll have to see how this plays out. I've always been of the idea that the restoration costs of this automobile if it is to be done right is/was cost prohibitive and that was under the old prices....
Both styles of stripes were dealer options, they were applied as per owners tastes and had nothing to do with interior color.
Proto 1 is now in Ohio, the Visoneering Car is in a private collection in Coldwater, MI.
and you gave him a lot of help when he is looking for a car in SE Michigan by directing him to an owner in Wisconsin who you and the clown squad enjoy trolling.
I have made contact with the OP as...
+ 1 for a BTTF sub forum, it makes sense for the time machine replica discussion Video Bob's or otherwise to have their own section then share Rich W's and other custom Delorean's in that section.
