I had a set machined at a local shop. Turned out great and was cheaper than buying.
I'm in Memphis, that's almost Arkansas...if there's a get together I might like to visit.
If it was really a Universal car, they weren't much interested in accuracy.
It is a '63, though they have grafted the taller '59 fins with bullet taillights on to it, the '63 bumper taillights are...
I'm a banker. You're over-thinking this. Unless you specifically pledge your car as "additional collateral" on your loan...which would be REALLY unusual...they can't sell your car if you default on...
Check your head bolts. Mine have a habit of backing off a bit over time which allows oil seepage that eventually makes its way down the engine. If your bolts share this problem, a long trip would...
I carry every day, everywhere. My decision to do so was validated one evening about three years ago when I thwarted an attack by a man wielding a tire iron who was attempting to sneak up on me. ...
I respectfully disagree, 1905's mixture was FAR out of whack 2 years ago, running super rich. It was so far out of kilter that the frequency valve wouldn't even run. Once I reset the mixture with...
It's the mixture. Set it with a dwell meter and you'll pass. Instructions are around here somewhere.
I have seen that car in person and it has absolutely zero resemblance to a DeLorean.
A tight system full of good old fashioned R-12 works great. I get better performance from my D system than I do from my 2010 GMC truck.
We're way past superstition in my garage.
1905 is oblivious to the 100+ degree temps the last two days...collant temp no higher than a winter day and still blowing 48 degrees from the A/C vents. A properly sorted out D will handle it just...
I know the idea of DCS is to move it around the country, but it is no coincidence that the shows in the "heartland" locations have the biggest attendance. I would have enjoyed going this year, but...

I was given the opportunity to drive my car up the drive at Graceland to be photographed in front of the mansion this weekend.

And why did I get this priviledge? Well, this past weekend...
Ya this thread wasn't what I expected...
One of my other toys is a Blue Bird Wanderlodge motorcoach...does that count?

I try to stay out of message board pissing contests, but I'm chiming in on this one to offer one basic thought: Those of you who think the DeLorean is only cool or popular because of BTTF can kiss my...
Bump...still looking for a set of wheels
Thanks
Stop in Memphis and see Graceland.
The original drier was a late 70's Corvette part. The replacement part you buy today from Vette suppliers is not identical...I bought one to compare to the original one still on my car. I don't...
What a dick. Get a new hobby.
The wheel really isn't that big a deal, you just figure out the confortable way to hold it. It's not like you really use all 360 degrees of any steering wheel.
In my part of the world police only...
Other than the wheels it looks like a pretty solid season 3/4 replica. The nose and dash changed for the later seasons, my car is the earlier version. First RHD version I have ever seen.
You have a DeLorean. You're a nerd too. Don't be in denial.
