It's normal when the thermostat opens the coolant is flowing through the cold radiator and then the thermostat closes because of that cold return coolant. It keeps doing that with shorter cycles...

Sorry for delays. I'm time limited baby sitting my granddaughter 5 days a week.

I've come up with wires with one relay connector crimped on one end.

Fuel pressures look acceptable. You should have more primary pressure but that is not causing your problem.

Dwell on a warmed up engine should be swinging back and forth pretty quickly about 30...

My testing shows an open the gauge would not move off the normal cold engine position. If the sensor or wire shorts to ground the gauge would point almost strait up. The cold sensor is normally...

Check one with your inductance meter and tell me what the inductance is and what frequency your meter uses. I will see if I get the same results.

Ohmmeter would be just as good checking as inductance. If some of the windings shorted it would result in less ohms. The same would hold true for reading inductance.

If your solenoids are still working, you probably did not do much damage to the solenoids.

You can test the otterstat in hot water but you need to pull it out. An ohm meter will show zero ohms when it switches on (should be below a rapid boil of the water at sea level).

I have not priced it yet. I was planning on just releasing it at the end of the year. Just not looking to show any more income this year. If you really need one now I can probably sell a few.

Ground switching is great for electronic switches (transistor or MOSFETs). If I was the designer, I would use is on everything.

There are few ground switched circuits. Like every other car, the door lights use ground switching. The hot start relay uses ground switching and the idle motor also uses it. There is nothing...

It's the circuit design of the controller that causes those relay to burn the contacts. They use a large capacitor to power the relay coils to provide the one second timing. So the voltage on the...

I just got my striped wire order. The stripeing is not as good as the stock D wires but at the prices $80 for a 1000 foot of tinned copper 16 AWG, 600 volt I can't complain to much.

Decided to take the D for a trip to the post office. Put the heat on since it's about 60 outside and pull out of the garage. When I went to move forward it was hard shifting, very hard to get into...

There was a problem with the OEM door lock controllers with sticking relays but that would normally just over heat the solenoids and then you got locked in the car. When I first got my car, the door...

For everyone, inspect and tie all those wires away from metal on that side of your engine. Nothing there is fused and a wire cutting the insulation to engine ground will most likely start a fire.

I also run a wideband unit so I go closed loop in about 15 seconds after engine start (wideband is a heated sensor).

I run a 13 PSI cap. The only reason for pressure is to bring the boiling temp up. At 12 PSI water boils at 242 deg. F, at 16 PSI it boils at 252 deg. F. So not much difference with most any cap.

Your dwell setting should be less than the dwell you read on the cold start. Starting the cold engine the system sets the mixture rich so the cold engine will run.

So your dwell on the hot engine...

What gives our cars crappy idle with advance is the closed loop idle system. The advance brings the RPM up higher (300 to 500 RPM) and that exceeds or brings the idle motor almost fully closed. In...
