I was able to replace my temp sender this way, and I didn't lose too much coolant.
I used a new temp sender from EU and it read too high - ended up putting the original back in
x2 on this, I replaced the temp sender with a newer one during the engine rebuild and it read higher. I ended up refitting the old unit, I couldn't relax with the gauge reading around 220 (even...
Who sells aftermarket rockers? Didn't think there would be a demand
Having gone through something similar, I'd be on the lookout for a good replacement engine. Probably save time and money in the long run
Managed to get the case split - Your youtube videos were very helpful, thankyou
I found that the roll pin appears to have fractured (maybe due to movement in the coupler?) and its remains created...
I think it was used in a Renault 25 at one point in its life
The gearbox has not been disassembled. That makes sense what you are saying
Ed agrees with you too - sent me this link...

Hi all
I am on the lookout for a primary shaft. Hoping somebody that has fitted a one piece shaft and has one of these lying in the back of the shed
Many thanks
Hi there - I have the same issue, did you need to split the gearbox to replace that lip seal?
I think I need this O-ring 103103, and the lip seal 103177
Cheers
Salt will make a real mess underneath (and probably above too), I'd avoid entirely. Best bet is to let it hibernate
Great job! What did you do for the crank ventilation, its hard to tell in the pic
Interested to follow this. Are you going for something like this?

Same for me after replacing my temp sender. Previously they would have came on after the first quarter mark
I had to confirm everything was ok with a laser thermometer to keep the nerves at bay...
The engine looks like it wants to escape in that video! Awesome, fantastic work
Highly recommend this product from DGO - fit and forget really

The original otterstat is a bit mickey mouse
Fantastic work, love that last image of the centre exhaust
I missed the connector from the distributor to the ignition ecu when doing my frame-off, incase you have overlooked that.
Yep that's what I found! I'm not sure why it was like that though. It was the first time I had touched the wiring loom so it was either like that from the factory or done by the PO.
I am...

I would also reroute the smaller cables in that harness that take the same way to the alternator, the magnetic switch of the starter and the oil sensor on the right side. One...
I found this thread very useful recently in tidying up the cables

Looking forward to seeing this progress.
OP, add that question back on to the list :p
Following this thread as I'm in the same boat - regarding the liners, DMCMW Dave said they go on dry so you can rule out hylomar. One less question :)

I didn't even consider ebay! Found a few new ones on there, thanks!
