That is some seriously impressive work!
Great work! How are you coming along with the electronics side of it? Any ideas on how to sense the 12v signals?
Just out of curiosity: was Christine a Greek name by origin?
Oh snap...
Do you have the convex mirrors or the original flat ones? The convex ones drastically improve side and rear vision.
This morning two kids maybe 9 years old walked by and spotted my DeLorean in awe. All smiles and generally what young boys do when they see something nice, then one says to the other in a...
Today I replaced missing the throttle link safety clips with 2 clips I made from a paperclip. Best saved $1.98 ever!
Come to think of it, I may have a few laying about as i'm sure i replaced them...
swapped the spark plug cables (ht leads) which ones that better seal off the spark plugs from the weather.
They don't care because of some rule it doesn't matter.
exactly my setup.
Wow... If the engine didn't need the compression from the exhaust i'd just leave them off! Great sound!
Contact me, i have a few spare lenses laying about and I might be able to 3D print a new clock housing.
Hi,
I was having fun with calibrating my 3D-printer, and made a key tag to test the dual filament options. I came up with these key tags for my car keys. I'm offering to sell these 2-tone...
Looking great! on the subject of the encoder making contact with the bracket, maybe you didn't get the project update email i sent to all customers on oct. 31:
You did remove the passenger seat for easy access i hope!
I will try to find a way, but first i have to get some other (personal) issues to solve.
Thank you for your kind words!
Yeah, you are right...
To be honest though, i'm not very charmed with the 4-screws baseplate. Looks kinda bulky to me.
Great thinking, TTait.
I'm pretty sure i'll get sued if i start making and selling my own baseplates based on their system. Or am i being paranoid? Perhaps if i contact them beforehand, saying i...
When installing an iPhone bracket i made with my new 3d-printer, i noticed the bolts for the glove compartment box latch were loose. After a little adjustment and tightening now my glove compartment...
It is connected to the iPod connector of the Alpine Head unit, using a 30-pin to lightning adapter (the white cable you see).
I'm just making this one-off for my personal comfort, and to get some experience with the printer and the 3D software. But I appreciate your feedback.
Anyway, here is the result. It looks better...
With the current design, you'll have to plug in the lightning cable yourself. I agree that it is not optimal, but i have to work with the limits of the printer (orientation and overhanging structures)
This is just the bracket and holder that i am making. I connect my phone to the ipod connector of the alpine head unit. That takes care of the charging for me
This is for a 5s, which i happen to have.
