Ok thank you for all your help!
I ordered a new accumulator and hose kit from Rob Grady. I also did a pressure test on my old one since I removed it and it doesn?t hold pressure for very long. So I?m assuming that is the problem....
Always a thumbs up here! I thought I had the accumulator but i have a fuel filter.
I already removed the accumulator it was easier than I thought. I?ll order some parts today!
Ok that is a good place start with replacing the accumulator. I have a new one that came with a service kit I bought last year. I just never got around to changing it. I?ll try and do it today and...
Happy New Year everyone! It?s been awhile since I was here. I don?t use my car that often. Last time I drove it I developed a hot start issue. The car is very difficult to start after is been driving...
Ethan,
Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy day to help me understand more about replacing the windshield!
I really appreciate it
Corey
Hi everyone,
I am about to replace the windshield. I did this about 15 years ago and can't remember how I did it. I have looked for a tutorial or guideline on the process but can't seem to find...
Yes the other setting have been made. I also let the engine warm up and let the fans come on twice. If I adjust it closer to 25 or 30 the dwell meter will swing. When I make small adjustments at a...
I forgot to mention I am using a Actron dwell/tach/volts meter. I'm also using the 8cyl scale. The other day the needle was sweeping and now it's more steady. My car really isn't hunting when warmed...
Hi everyone, my car was running really rich. I bought a dwell meter years ago and never used it. Today I connected it and the reading was high around 30. I tried to set it between 15-20. The needle...
Hi everyone,
After a few years I'm trying to get back on track with my car. I need to re-dye my glove box lid, passenger side knee pad, and maybe the dash grey.. I know SEM Acura Charcoal 17333...
Thank you for the reply's. I will check for broken vacuum hoses. Is the easy way to spray starter fluid around them or just visual inspection? Good point about the baffle in the fuel tank. I am about...
Hello everyone,
When I drive my car it runs fine. But I am having some issues of it stalling when I slow
down or come to a stop. For example if I am driving and need to slow down for a stop...
My front pad and rotors are in good shape. When I start slowing down to come to a stop the front pads squeal like crazy. Kinda embarrassing to drive around like that. Do I need a rubber pad between...
I was hoping to have my car up and running for the last car show of the season on Friday. I forgot that I needed a alternator. I’m not sure if I buy one tomorrow I will have it in time. I know of...
Got it! I left it alone and reinstalled back in the car. Nothing was wrong with it anyway. Just asking since it was out.
Thanks!
Just curious, since my cat is removed I was wondering if it is a good idea to pour gasoline through it to clean it out? I tried to shine a bright flashlight in one end and look for light on the other...
Good idea. I will do this tomorrow. I should have the torque spec and pattern in my shop book
Stayed up last night. Job is all done. Thanks DMC-81 for the advice and picture!
Tomorrow I will assemble the exhaust manifolds back on the heads. I picked up some high temp manifold gasket RTV sealer to use on both sides of the exhaust manifold gasket. I have been reading that...
Sounds good thanks Ron
Thanks Dave! I forgot to ask should I use RTV on the exhaust manifold gaskets or leave dry? If I use sealant is it on both sides?
Did you use any sealant on the studs going into the head?
I have all the studs fixed with time-serts. When I install the manifold studs should I use anti-seize or loctite or nothing. Also should I use RTV sealant on the manifold gaskets? If so both sides?...
I’m not sure when I heated up the stud to remove it I cracked something and that’s why it’s leaking now. But on the other hand the corrosion looks likes it might have been leaking for awhile. I...
