Oh man, that's unfortunate. I wonder if the block can be repaired by filling in the boss with aluminum (i.e. welded) and then tapped for a new bolt? I had a larger that a quarter sized hole filled in...
The pilot bearing is not tight in the crankshaft holder, but if you are concerned about it slipping, you can use a bearing retainer ( Loctite 648 or similar).
Thanks, and good luck with the task.
Without knowing the history, maintenance, or miles on the gearbox, I would say that it is unlikely the nose bearing that's worn. There is a relatively soft input shaft coupler on the other end of...
In 2016, I installed a DMCH aluminum radiator and with refreshed OEM cooling fans, they keep my car consistently cool even in the hot Florida summers. It was plug and play with no fitment issues.

I hooked my AUX following Todd's directions and they worked fine for me as well.
Also, if the tone controls are upstream of the volume controls, doesn't that mean that you can adjust them before...
Pm'ed. I'll take a black one!
I missed the first round and was wondering if these would be made again.
James and team: These are excellent enhancements to the parts store website!! I like the improved parts diagram with functionality. Very nice work! :hihi:
As a project manager, I know scope creep...
Yes. That is the kit I used, and was happy with it.
My understanding from talking to James Espey when I needed the correct early paint code is that the first page is a water based formula (i.e. EHP - Envirobase High Performance), and the second page...
Hi Jonathan,
In addition to what was posted above I would suggest that you do not need to remove the rear facia depending on the tools that you have available. You do need to remove the exhaust...
Congrats Korey! It's a nice looking car.
Thanks for putting that together, nice job. I hadn't seen most of the footage before.
Lol! If your DeLorean's horn sounds like any dying animal, it's time to replace both and check the wiring and ground. I replaced both mine with the original Mixo units from DMC when I restored the...
Wow, you're right....great video. Thanks for sharing.
Great progress so far!
Yes, I would find a slightly larger o-ring. It should fit snug.
I found that I needed 28 ft/lbs to properly crush the washer and provide a leak free installation.
More information here:...
Very cool product.
No tips. I would contact the vendor.
I think the Renault Alpine is okay, but it reminds me of the Fuego. I can think of other 1985 cars that I would rather have.
Otherwise, I agree with what has been said so far. In addition the car...
One thing to be aware when putting this list together is the strength of a given bolt. It is marked on the head. While stainless steel looks great, it is not a high strength material. I would take...
I would recommend having a good/ reputable body shop paint the fascias. I used the correct DMC paint code and it turned out well. That was 5 years ago, and they held up well. I think it was around...
+1. Also use a soft pillow to put under your knees as you will be on them for a while, leaning over the fuse box.
Do yourself a favor, get a quality crimping tool like this one from Grainger:...
