It’s not mentioned in the owners manual because it’s not designed for that.
Why would a manufacturer mention driving with the doors open? It’s a safety hazard.
Approx 2 3/4 inches wide. A soda can fits in with a little room to spare, as does a 20 ounce soda bottle. When I’m not using the cup holders I have a small DMC bag that I place over them. This not...
To me it’s interesting to see which VINs are still around. I suspect that’s what most “VIN counters” etc are really curious about. But you are correct: the VIN (especially on these cars which left...
IMHO, it doesn’t get any better than these: https://www.deloreango.com/us/catalogsearch/result/?q=Cup+holder
My TABS look very similar, and like you I am not about to touch them. I have every nut, bolt, and bushing set aside for my mechanic to do next month.
Yes. It’s available from the DeLorean Owners Association.
If you’re willing to do a bit of traveling there is a guy in Ohio who usually has several body panels for sale. If you do a search on eBay you’ll find him.
Recently I hit my 12,000th mile of driving the DeLorean. It took approx. 2 years. No major problems.
VA. Apparently they are cracking down on aftermarket LED lights.
I like the initiative, but I wonder what inspection stations are going to make of this? My car recently failed for having Toby’s 3rd brake light installed. I can’t imagine this light would pass a...
Probably. But who is going to crash test it?
I did this recently as well. Turned out to be a huge pain in the butt. 7 out of 8 screws were completely rotted. Man I really wish companies would invest in stainless hardware.
I also have the DMCH radiator, installed in 2008. Works great.
Hello and welcome! I look forward to reading about your experiences. Do you happen to have any factory photos you can share with us?

Excellent work! It’s much nicer than before. I’m glad to see some effort put into creating a better experience for DeLorean owners.
I had a similar situation recently. I decided to install a 12 volt socket hidden under the glovebox. The dash cam wiring goes up along the passenger side A pillar and is mostly hidden. The 12 volt...
Memo from RJ Donnell detailing both the black/grey split and the manual/auto split. Note that he gives projected numbers for the transmission split (67/33) so actually build numbers could have...
VIN 501, which DeLorean himself inspected along with some other key personnel, and then drove out of the factory doors to the awaiting press, was an automatic. So they had them early. Maybe not in...
My car did the same thing when my mixture was set incorrectly.
DeLorean himself was 6’4”. He made sure he would fit in the car.
Yes, I read how he was responsible for the new filters. Very cool. You’d think a certain business in Texas would have done something about that situation, but I guess they were busy making those...
I saw those instructions for cleaning. That is very handy, thanks.
You make some good points. I suppose with the infrequent need to change the filter it really isn’t worth a remote design.
