I always figured Doc was doing a final systems check out of public view, and that the truck had a natural tilt to allow the car to roll back.

I would suggest rewiring the car with better wire, and better grounding.

I found that my fuel pump wouldn't work recently, and the culprits look to be a bad relay and a melted inertia switch.

I have already ordered replacements and plan to install them.

Solved one of my problems. The inertia switch must have received bad voltage from the relay and melted the plastic around the contacts.

At least now I know what the inside of the inertia switch...

No sitting ON the car, especially the hood.

And watch out for clothing pins, and that seats won't be damaged.
