So anyways... Picking this long-lost topic up, I finally got around to ordering a new windshield, that is sitting at my carglass workshop of choice. Before I make the appointment to replace the...
Same experience with a lot less business, since I've only had my Delorean for 3 years. I have only received quality parts from DPI. Would recommend.
I installed it using a guide for the GEN 1 version. Worked fine. You have to think a little, to figure where the differences are. I managed it. (!) Also if I should have done it again, I would have...
It's who keeps my DeLorean running. Sure, I do the wrenching, but someone has to stockpile the know-how, the parts and manage to keep calm while reading my stupid questions in the emails... :)

Just checked my notes. Parts number is 103513A - I got mine from deloreango.com.
I think there’s actually use for more than four. IIRC the same washer fits the other side of the small adaptors...
Copper washers - there is a copper washer of a special size, that isn’t on the parts diagram, that goes on those pipes. You need 4 of those IIRC. Got those?

Either that or we are getting enough cars for a great discussion/techsession. :)
So - yeah… I looked into the throttle cable/body area and can tell that something is binding somewhere, b/c the...
Just to round this thread up - I got a new hot water valve, all metal, no leaks this time, did the pressure test with both air and then with coolant with no leaks, so this seems to have solved...
Again, thanks for the help. And the picture. I like to get some inspiration for my own car, so I'll have to live with the engine bay envy I get from seeing yours. That looks really good! I was hoping...
So I basically want to ask a related question: Anyone wants to chance a guess as to what is going on with my engine after my VOD rebuild?
Engine cold, ambient temp below <15*C => Engine starts,...
Got it - so this is where the ground goes?

Nice - that sounds like a great way of tidying up the harness a little. :)
Bonus question: I have a single black wire coming from the...
So, I used this handy guide to get the bulkhead connectors correct.

Which left this little fella out of the action: Do anyone know what it's supposed to be doing/connected to?

Thanks for all the replys. I'm gonna reach out to the vendor and have a talk about my options. :)
So - I redid the pressuretest with coolant and the hot water valve leaked coolant like mad. I got a pair of vise grips on the valve and was able to put enough pressure on the crimps on the backside...
So anyway... It's been a while since I posted, but life got busy.
We're expecting a baby boy this June, our first kid, so the DeLorean was placed on the back burner for a while, while the house got...
So, in preparation for installing a stage 1 exhaust upgrade, I removed the exhaust system. I'm not sure how much is stock, I think the exhaust manifolds and the crossover pipe is original. The...
Class act.
Actually, I missed you, even though I don't know you and you left before I got my car and joined the community.
Researching, as best I could, before buying my car I read a lot...
Turned out to be a 36mm. :)
Still have more questions...

So, going by the Volvo manual, I checked if the timing plate was correctly placed. Needs to go 1 degree left, right?

When...
Nice - this means I'll be able to get there by removing the heat shield and the muffler, which was slated to go anyway. 32mm is too tight, 36mm is too loose, so I'm assuming its a 34mm bolt. Thanks!
Thanks for the intel. :) I'm wondering about something equally basic now: How do I get the engine to turn, so I can get to TDC on cylinder one? I know there are two marks on the pulley and which one...
Good idea, I have the hoist anyway, might as well use it. :)

I second that. Circus-19 has to end.

Thanks! Yeah. Some of the black connectors (dupont?) are crisp enough to fracture when handled. Other connectors are fine, tape is coming off all over and the one that goes down the left side of the...
You’re propably right about that. Maybe I can start by bending my own clip from som SS wire and see if that helps. :)

Roger - I'll consider leaving it alone then. :)
Yeah, I saw that it was burned up. I was actually going to order a new DPI main engine wiring harness, but it's not available until late this month....
