Hi Elvis, sorry about that, yea I knew that. I have a 1922 Ford Model T, and the ONLY guage on the dash is an AMP guage, so I routinely mix them up :-)

I have pretty much an original 1981 Alternator. My 2011 Battery finally gave up the Ghost this morning, so I grabbed a new one.
But, upon replacing the Battery, I noticed the AMP Gauge
won't go...
Congrats! You will love being a Delorean owner!
I got my car (#3589) from my wife's Aunt's estate, was parked for 25 years in the back of her garage, covered in blakets, much like yours.
I...
I was reading @88mph's recent post about the rust he has with his frame and that got me to wondering about mine...
My Frame is in great shape. It's an '81 that sat in the back of a KY garage...
So, although I like to think of myself as a 'Shadetree mechanic', I've never quite grasped the silicone water hose thing. Not to say that I'm not for it, I don't understand the chemistry of it. ...
I have State Farm, I usually call my agent with the VIN when I buy a new car and get it all setup. I'm pretty sure you have 30 days with State Farm to call them to put the car on a policy. (Don't...
Not sure if these help...? Doug3838438385383863838738388
I purchased the lighted switches from DMC, but have not installed them yet (although I need to, my switches are flakey).
One of the issues I've heard with the lighted switches is that they are...
If the car has been sitting around for ages, then IMHo probably yes. The fuel will degrade into a "Varnish" type of goo, which will pretty much glue everything shut. This requires replacing the...

Is trying to sell off the remaining Kapaa cars? It was real grainy I think.

This is the ONE day you have to drive your car to work/fun/movies/whatever. Screw the Steering column bushing. So it will rattle like a set of old wisdom teeth. Whatever. Drive it! :-)
One of the local AMC Theatres is showing the Trilogy starting at 4:29pm, and has asked for some Delorean's to park out front before the movie, sure, wth. :-)
I was just about to "+1" on the bad fuel mileage being a Trans computer thing (mine wouldn't shift into 3rd, hence bad mileage). Super cool you figured yours out though. BUT: to go along with...
Thanks Gang. The first hour of running I was afraid to venture too far from our dock for fear of a breakdown. My Mind tends to wander when I'm in these situations... "I bet those plugs are bad..",...
OK, so please forgive me, but I have an old Gas question, and you guys are the first ones I thought of to ask...
I have an old Boat (1957) with a standard Round tank in it. Last time I used it...
So, aside from my car recently developing a cold start problem, I want to look into cleaning the engine. I've seen some really nice sparkly engines, and some that are even powder coated and chromed,...
nice job!
Hot Damn! That thang is sexy right!
Ouch. Yea, we've seen similiar stuff. Here's one of the oil being drained. Little too much water :-)

I replaced my steering bushing about 2 years ago with a "White Plastic" one. Harder then hell to get in, but the original one came out in pieces....
Fixed the extremely loose steering column...
I have the same problem I think. I have a positive park, but not a 'click' feel whilst shifting to D or R. I have to kinda 'feel it' into position. I have #03589, so perhaps I should look into...
[QUOTE=Kenny_Z;165003]My alternator belt snapped while I was driving. I couldn't get off the road due to steep ditches on either side so my temp gauge was pegged for I'm not sure how long. I am...
Missed out on grabbing a set of DELOREAN Stainless Rear facia Inserts at the annual DCO meeting (Great Door prize!).
They were donated I think by PJ Grady (Thanks!). However I didn't get them,...
I have a 1922 Ford Model T, which has no oil pump, and no Dipstick. You check the oil by crawling under the car and turning the upper of 2 petcocks. If oil comes out the lower petcock, you're good....
