Can't imagine why an oil pan gasket would be made from silicone. The reason one would use a Silicone gasket is they are reusable. How many times does one need to drop the oil pan? I would just use a...
I almost decided to take my DeLorean but since I have a nice quiet sedan with a sun roof, I went the practical route. It was a 900 mile round trip but so worth it! Me and a fellow DeLorean owner from...
Not you but the story. I don't believe a franchise would remove and destroy a part to anyone's car without severe consequences.
I call BS on that
It's actually in very good shape, just a lot of surface growth to clear out.
You orobably saw one of my vids. You can buy a thicker O ring that seals it better. I've since made small brackets that look better than the blind nuts I was using and I removed the lights and made a...
If it's not too late, follow up with a coat of clear, I prefer the matt but the semi gloss looks good too.
It takes two packs. I put my seams near the bottom/front of the hood where I thought they were out of sight and not a place I considered to leak.
Dude! Don't put that POS NOS gasket on yet! Use my trick

It's a universal self adhesive weatherstrip found at Lowes. Not only does it work, it looks better and keeps the hood...
Edit...found this on the euro forum. It may help
This info is courtesy of Nick T, who imparted his secrets to me in a call last year. I have only just got round to making use of the info, and I...
Not sure about thermotime readings but it doesn't matter. That doesn't affect idle anyway. In fact, many people simply unplug it in the summer temps.
I think you found a major piece with the...
Thanks!
Actually I used Aircraft paint stripper which worked very well to clean, then I painted with engine enamel.
I doubt the CSV is leaking.
Have you pulled and checked the idle computer?
Also wouldn't be a bad idea to double check the curb throttle setting. This gets the idle close without the computer...
Couldn't help but notice the date...it's six years older than my DeLorean!

It runs very nice! Idles perfectly and now it doesn't load up when cold. Before I had to let it warm up a bit before...
I used a DeLorean Industries pump...pretty much all my stuff came from them but I did order most of my coolant hoses from DMCH and a few odds and ends like a thermostat.
My old pump was fine but...
Finished up my VOD refresh tonight. Started right up and only need a minor mixture adjustment.
I was pleased with the condition of the valley, in fact it really didn't need to be done but I did...

This took a LOOOOONNNGGGG time!
Found it...bought it...resisting the urge to open it up and play with it!
The little bits are what's left of the rubber band!
The factory has been completely gutted and rebuilt to a metals company that makes engine blocks and other chassis components for vehicles. There isn't much left of the inside to match any pics but...
I suspected a ECU was faulty, there is no way to tell for sure without trying a known good one. You can however pull the ECU and look at the board and see if there are any obvious signs such as black...
Started tearing down for my VOD refresh. Nothing concerning found, but it needs to be done every decade or so.

I would first start with basics (especially if this happened recently), before looking at springs in the throttle body which rarely go bad. check to see if the idle circuit is working, or at least...
