Ok, trying to move it... that might explain why Ken K. said it was stuck open, he tried to move it I'm sure and couldn't... again, more and more is making sense now.

Good. That makes sense. My main concern when making a change is whether it will hurt the running of the engine or cause more problems than benefits. But if its just an EPA thing, and doesn't hurt...

Were you able to get the side trim pieces off with out a lot of trouble?
