    Yes, absolutely. Because I'm providing an alternative input sensor you do not need the rheostat any more. As long as you have the dial and the clock housing, you're fine.

    That is great for those with non working clocks and rheostats.
    Where did you mount the temp sensor?

    Where did you mount the temp sensor?
    Actually, you get 2 temperature sensors. One on the clock and the other is external. I'm not entirely final on the location though. I have a 1.5m wire attached to the sensor so it should be possible to mount it in the wheel arch. I sill probably extend that to 2m to be on the safe side. Far easier would be to pull it through the shifter hole but I do not know if that works with an automatic.

    On an auto, you could go forward under the radio bracket edge and have it come out in the driver's footwell to then go out the speedo cable hole/grommet. That initial path would be following the original clock wiring and would stay under the shift plate and out of site.
