New DMCH reproduction lug nuts - anyone have them?

Just curious if anyone has a set of these out there. I've had some bad luck with lug nuts, specifically with the pressed-on caps flying off and getting lost. I don't use any power tools on the lug nuts, just a hand torque wrench - but even so, I keep losing caps. More than half of my original factory ones were gone so I replaced the whole bunch with the solid chrome ones from SpecialT a few years back. Those were terrible and stood WAY out from the wheel, so I returned them and swapped for his shorter ones with the press-on caps. Most of those caps are now missing as well.

So I'm curious if anyone has any experience with the new DMCH ones before I spend another $65 on lug nuts that are gonna fly apart on me....

I mean, I know it's just a function of the pressed on caps. I get it, solid nuts are way better. But there really aren't any good options for us out there, and I honestly don't know why there's not a way to make these so they don't fall apart for no reason.

I remember someone had tried (and was happy with) some Honda lug nuts that had the right thread and pitch but the seat wasn't quite right, so I wasn't sure about doing that. I like the idea of supporting DMCMW by ordering this new repro set but I really want them to hold up...

I have now been told we have the same source apparently. The caps are sensitive. I"m now machining one piece lugs that look factory original. Current pricing is 3.85 per nut...... Unless I purchase 10,000+. If there is an interest I will mass produce.

At $3.85 per nut they are still competitive with the repops with pressed-on caps... are they available in small orders? Say... 16?

Yes and I can touch base on this tomorrow with our manufacture. Great company I have been dealing with thanks to SW. Usually takes about six weeks from date of order.

I could *definitely* be talked into that. Let me know what they say and let's do some business

As with stainless works they have a lot on their plate for us already. I will do my best to push it through and work on the price. If I commit to 1600 pieces I'm sure I can work down the price. No question over the quality as it is the same company that manufactures our one piece input shafts and gears for our turbo cars.
