    Cardboard build.

With Halloween coming up I want to have my car in the local parade, but I don't want to go through the entire process of changing the car. I think a cardboard mock-up on the back will suffice for a local parade.

What I'm asking for is some dimensions on some of the parts of the rear reactor. The exhaust fins and the plutonium chamber. I can look up the rest, and I work in electronics so I have spare parts everywhere.

Not going to comment on the accuracy compared to the screen used car, but if you're building out of cardboard I'm assuming that doesn't concern you much anyway

The CAD file will be a great starting point for your project. If you need any other info, feel free to ask on my facebook page. There are a great number of reference and build photos there.

We also have lot of other builders there using the same file for their full conversion projects and have been posting progress to the page.

Very cool to have the master chip in with his support/help!

I too am going to plan for something this halloween, but also use for parades. It seems like the "back" parts could be replicated quite easy with that CAD document. I would like to do the flux bands too though, still figuring out a nice temporary solution for those. Im thinking conduit and expanded metal.

It doesn't have to be super accurate for a parade. I mean I got away with this.

    I don't have autocad

Is there any application standard on a Mac that can open cad files? Or does someone have PDF/JPEG of the rear deck assembly with measurements?

you can open dwgs online, or download a program. I would recommend AutoCad 360, it is in the app store. No pre-installed programs on osx can open a dwg.

Here is my cardboard setup from many years ago. I just winged it for the most part.
