I'm a novice when it comes to electronic stuff like programming, PCBs, etc.

But I saw this on Kickstarter, not sure if this type of stuff would be beneficial for a project like yours?

It's a good thought, but unfortunately the cost of those parts is about the same as the parts I'm already using, so it wouldn't save me any money in the manufacturing process. Thank you for the input though!

Quick update: Knocked out a few bugs, and I added in a 12-hour/24-hour setting. The only thing I'm missing from the software side of things is the leading zero and colon settings. I'm planning on taking and posting the video online tomorrow morning though. Will keep everyone posted!
