DMCH 110101 (CS130) Alternator issue or not?

I killed my trusted Motorola Alternator Last weekend. I Just installed a DMCH CS 130 replacement. I have NO familiarity with this unit, so when I see something strange like this flashing BATT Light, I have to question if this is normal.

I'm holding off on Starting the engine until I get an answer that says it's OK or you have some weird problem to rectify first. The other ODD thing to me about the installation is that is uses a single input wire. Virtually ALL the other google Image search installations that use this Base type alternator have a 10 AWG red wire (load sense wire) connected from B+ to the Regulator. Why is the Delorean some how different?

I recall reading in a few past threads that this is normal.

Whew, mine does that too. I never knew it was out of the ordinary but good to know it is normal.

Wow, this is suprising that this is normal. I am using a camaro cs130 alt and the light is always solid, no flickering.

Do you have an extra wire connected too the regulator?

It is not a universal phenomenon. It's common with the DMCH alternators but not universal. Something about the regulator that is being used.
