    Metric dash – Canadian models

Through my little side project into Museum DeLoreans, I have found one in Japan that surprisingly is a “Canadian” model, vin 17147.

Now, I knew that they had a 240km/h speedo fitted (as well as the oil pressure in kg/cm2 and temp in C), but I don’t recall seeing the red bars above 100. Is that normal?

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?

well, that is odd. I can see it fine, but there was a glitch when I uploaded it the first time. I guess it is just referencing an image on my PC.

    Here it is again

IIRC, that is the same as on my Canadian spec Grand National DeLorean, VIN..17063.

In the picture the brake light indicator has a brake symbol (I think?) instead of the word "BRAKE". Was that just for the Canadian models, or just a general change for later VINs?

Also, what is that below the "DMC" logo on the left-hand side? Is that a reflection of something or an additional warning light of some sort. Mine is blank below the logo.

17076 does not have those red bars. I have never seen them before.

Nor does 17104, or any of the other Canadian spec cars I've seen. It would be great to know more about where in Canada that car may have originally come from.

This is what they normally look like:

The brake symbol was only included on the metric clusters in place of the word "BRAKE" from what I've seen. I think the thing below the dmc logo is a reflection.

I love it - also the red region at the bottom of the fuel gauge
