My car is going back to Ireland!

After a 30 year plus odyssey in California, my DeLorean, Vin 16245 is going back to Ireland!
It was bought by a collector and is getting shipped there now.
I had a nice time living the dream, but it’s time to move on.

I want to thank the people on this form, the information and help was invaluable.

    The vendors were great too.

I will be listing my extra items for sale soon with pics including…

Full Elite Wings-aloft – new in box.
Manual Pedal Box, excellent condition – freshly powder coated
Steering wheel from a Texas rebuild car – beautiful condition.
Luggage rack, again from the Texas rebuild car. beautiful condition.
Drivers side main window (not drop glass) – Good condition.

    Some other bits.
    Binnacle, cracked
Tail Lenses, one faded on the yellow part, one nice

PM me if your interesting in any of these. I'd rather have them go to a DMCtalk member.
    Jeff

Q: How do you make a small fortune restoring a DeLorean?
A: Start out with a large fortune!

I wonder if it will be able to follow the breadcrumbs. What part of Ireland is it destined for?

Sorry to hear that you are selling up (didn't even know it was for sale) and thanks for your contributions on here

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"

Thanks Dangermouse! I apprecaite all the help from this site greatly.

This has been the nicest board and car group I've associated with. The Porsche group can be snobby, the Miata group is generally a bunch of kids. I enjoyed the experience.

I thought about listing it on here, but people can be quite critical.. and I didn't want to take the chance and taint a possible buyer.

I heard there is a big following in Ireland now, and it's a cool status symbol. It's going to a suburb of Dublin. A heated and Air conditioned garage!

My big hobby now is tracking my Mazdaspeed Miata. Can't get enough seat time.. it's so much fun!

    Sure, I'll email him.

He is really excited to get it. I guess it's a big status symbol in Ireland now, is that right Kenny?

Ok. I just emailed him this site and what you said Kenny

Thanks Jeff. It's not a status symbol as such. Most owners I know are normal guys. It's more the link to the history and the fact the car was built on the island that is of interest to most Irish car enthusiasts.
