The expansion of Delorean Industries aka DPI to the west coast market

Delorean Industries Expands to west coast market:

I was planning to curb this discussion and announcement until next month. Due to one thing leading to another and a few comments after it was brought to light I need to make a few things clear as I am receiving tons of emails regarding what owners think is a mass DPI exodus from Ohio.

DPI is not completely moving but expanding westward. The number of cars from west of the Mississippi has increased beyond the point of shipping cars back and forth. For years I have been looking for an excuse to move in this direction and it took business and personal reasons combined to make it happen. My significant other Carla of many years has advanced her career once again and landed out west. With this development recent months have been filled with intricate planning to pull off how to make this work properly from the start.
Here is the breakdown of services provided between the two locations. Note all services we offer are available at both.

    DPI EAST (AKRON OHIO)
-Everything service wise remains the same. Preservation, repair, restoration, innovation and performance.
-All parts orders originate from here for orders. Pick up is available at the west location as it is fully stocked with our entire product line. A full time parts specialist will be on staff to answer questions and fill orders accordingly for domestic and international owners.
-Manufacturing is retained entirely in Ohio with our tried and tested partners. This includes stainless frames, exhaust systems etc.
-Frame refurbishment of stock chassis remains in Ohio.
-Engine manufacturing remains in Ohio. With dyno testing and break in performed here.
-DPI full builds will be constructed and finished here entirely with the exception of winter months where the car will be moved to DPI west for finish work and testing.

    DPI WEST (location TBA)
I am very excited for the upcoming announcement of those who will spearhead this move forward within the coming weeks. The announcement will probably not be of much surprise to many.
-Everything service wise available at our Akron location is available here. Key components including engines, frames etc will be delivered from Ohio on a bi-weekly transport owned and operated by DPI. Two car hauler capable of fitting up to six frames or two cars and four engines/misc parts will be on the road constantly. Within this transport schedule cars will be delivered and picked up along the way for the two respective locations nearly doubling our transport capability currently. This service will also be available for new owners to schedule the first time delivery of their purchase.
Local pickups (within 500 miles) will be handled the same as they are now here.

    Last but not least… Me.
I will be working on a 9-11 day rotation between the two locations constantly. As always I will be involved in every step of the process from a QC stand point ensuring the highest quality of products, builds and upgrades available.

EDIT: as always please feel free to contact directly with any questions or concerns regarding this. [email protected]

The way I see it, if you're gonna drive around in a car, why not do it with some style?

Let us reply to ambition that it is she herself that gives us a taste for solitude.

We see on average five Canadian cars a month here. With our pick up at the bridge program the need for a shop is somewhat mute compared to getting the car down here. We have a shop in Ontario that we use as a preferred reference for smaller jobs not worth the trek.
