Looking for the upgraded newer style window motors. I figured I would give it a shot here before I order them new.

If you order them new, please post where you get them and your experience with them. I need to replace my driver's side window motor.

I think everyone orders them from here, vendors included:

I did have the mounting tap snap off of the metal tube on each side after a few years due to stain and corrosion (and a weak weld) on these units. I had the bracket re-welded on and they are working great again.

Actually there is a source even deeper than that one!

I purchased the A1's and installed them. It was a booger but they're in and work quite well.

Metaphorically speaking the actual sourcing goes further down. I don't think either of us will publish the actual address!

I also wound up ordering new ones from A1 and they were indeed a pain to install. I followed there instructions to a T which resulted in almost creating a outward dent when lowering the window. The mounting brakets that came with the kit were to large and had to be ground down to get it adjusted properly. In addition, the bend within the brakets also had to be altered. Also, the wiring harness had to be cut off since they do not recommend using it in the install. And the motor has to be removed from the track and flipped to the other side with spacers that has has to be assembled inside the doors element. All in all, the kit is great when you get everything adjusted, but it is not a plug and play kit. On the flip side it is always nice to save some money to use on other projects.
Martin G in the UK did a very usefull YouTube video about fitting the A1 replacement motors.

Definitely worth a few minutes to watch before you get started.
